  1. Rumor has it that a TA can supply these...
  2. Just like nobody has EVER checked our arrival time/group I have NEVER had anybody ask to see the QR code. Yes, it *should* show on the app assuming you are "green lane" (don't get me started on all THAT fiasco!) but I've never been asked for it and I've never seen anybody else have to show it. Don't worry about it. Just take your cruise docs and passport and that's all you need.
  3. I would never actually try this for myself...but I just wonder if *maybe* you took along your own universal remote that you could get around the "locked" HDMI port access? If this was done via some type of remote unit programming then that might work. We tend to never spend that much time in our cabin such that we would want to watch a movie!
  4. Yes, as @seahag says...there will be a small desk/podium at baggage claim area and they will direct you. Very easy. This is pretty much the recipe for the way it's done at all airports that we've been to.
  5. While they may very well offer a private ceremony (probably with a charge) I had always heard that this was a group thing. I think I remember somebody posting a picture here on CC several years ago of a fairly large crowd (probably close to 75 couples) in the Piazza taking part. BUT...let me point out...I have no personal experience to share. I have never seen the ceremony on any of the cruises we've done.
  6. @shiny1 don't forget to post on the roll call for your cruise. You'll get ideas from others who are going to be on the cruise with you.
  7. I don't see a question there anywhere...not sure how to respond.
  8. I have NEVER heard this...is this documented somewhere?
  9. Everybody keeps talking about "the error message". Did I miss something in a previous post? Has anybody actually posted the error message or a screenshot?
  10. I bought one just 2 days ago. No problem. Have never had any of the issues that are being reported.
  11. There should also be a European style at the desk as well as one behind one of the beds.
  12. Yes...it's a fair sized boat...with restrooms. No worries on that front!
  13. I obviously do not have an inside track on this...but if the site has actually been down for maint. twice it would appear that they are working on *something*!
  14. It does make for something of a long day...but it's an experience you'll be able to tell all your friends about!
  15. Let me clarify...I am not advocating for anarchy! 😄 Sure...go ahead and select a group/time if it makes you more comfortable. All I can speak to is my own experience for the past 6 or 7 cruises, both pre and post-pandemic. We have NEVER been checked for a "matching" boarding time. You are the very first person I have ever run across that says otherwise...everybody needs to make their own decision.
  16. I'm sure there is a story there... But like @bjkTX I have paid off 2 upcoming cruises and over half of a remaining third. I don't "sit" on these cards at all! As soon as I get them I post them to my account...keeping copies and a hardcopy as well with notes as to which cruise and when applied. Curious as to what you mean by "in limbo".
  17. And just be advised...they DO NOT check you against any list to see when your boarding time really is. No enforcement of any type other than letting handicapped pax and then Elites on first. After that...just walk on in to the terminal.
  18. Probably too soon. You did not say whether yours is a full transit or partial transit. We just got back from a partial transit 2 weeks ago (RT Fort Lauderdale). We had previously done a full transit pre-pandemic. Either way...take a close look at the excursion "Panama Canal & Locks Transit by Boat" when it becomes available. I'm pretty sure they offer this for both types of transit (not absolutely sure...) You get off your cruise ship in Gatun Lake and are shuttled over to a small boat terminal where you board a boat that holds (I estimate) 200-250 people. You then continue on through the rest of the Panama Canal in this smaller boat, continuing through the remaining locks. Our ship (Caribbean Princess) entered the Canal from the Atlantic side using the new locks (we'd never done the new locks) and then the smaller boat transited on to the Pacific using the "old" locks. A VERY interesting experience going through the locks on a smaller boat! You then board a bus and are taken back to Cristobal where you reboard your "big ship".
  19. I suppose you guys realize that this thread was resurrected from 5 years ago....
  20. Hah! I didn't even catch that one! Don't give it a second thought!
  21. I stand corrected! (My "impression" is obviously incorrect!)
  22. A couple that we cruised with recently had an interesting question that I could not answer. How does one get a "win/loss" report from Princess? (That's probably not the correct name for it...) They did not "win big" (i.e. no jackpot) but he's interested from a tax standpoint.
