  1. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S22. I don't seem to have this.
  2. While I cannot speak to the NCL air program (since we have not used it) I have heard way too many really bad tales of how bad it can be if/when things go wrong. Just remember...you're dealing with a "middleman" as far as your air reservation goes. While they post what is termed an "emergency in route" phone number to use...*many* people have stated that no one answers phones. I always say that "I prefer to be in control of my own destiny" and book air directly with the airline (Delta in my case). If that means making my own mistakes...so be it. It's just a lot easier in dealing directly with the airline if things need to change.
  3. Just understand that there *might* be a short wait.
  4. While not specifically what you've asked about...if you have AT&T service (other carriers do this as well) take a look at their International Day Pass. While it's not going to give you *free* wifi (or service) it will only charge you $100 for the whole day without having to worry about trying to find wifi spots...which *can* be a bit risky in my opinion. It's not unheard of for unscrupulous vendors/hackers to set up hotspots that can introduce malware into your phone/device.
  5. What is that old saying..."You can fix ignorance but can't fix stupid..." 😄
  6. You had the unfortunate luck of getting a rep who had absolutely no idea what they were talking about...so to be on the "safe" side (or...potentially seeing an additional sale at hand) they just said "no".
  7. We have the AT&T International Day Pass. It's not just for Caribbean...works in Europe and most all countries world-wide. (There are a few where it doesn't...but I'm not planning on any trips to North Korea anytime soon!) Have never had any issues with it...I leave it activated ALL the time, just in case I forget about it. If I hit a particular port that I *know* I don't need any service (rare, but occasionally) I just leave phone in airplane mode. AT&T is none the wiser, and I save $10 for that day.
  8. Seems like the need for PVSA has disappeared!
  9. Interesting...I just went to the Port Valet site; it still lets you "reserve" for NCL...
  10. I *thought* I had found one for you on eBay...but then I saw it was listed at a CRAZY $370!
  11. We have done the White Pass Railroad twice now, both times just the "short" trip. Don't feel like you'd be missing out by not booking the longer trip; you would be missing some of the most fantastic scenery on the planet! And...keep in mind that if you do any of the trips that cross over into Canada (other than the short trip which just turns around just across the border) you will need to take your passport. A lot of people get hung up on that and find that they cannot go.
  12. Yep...there's a wide gulf between what *can* be done and what *should* be done!! 😄
  13. LOL! I'm changing the channel...I've seen this movie several times! 😄
  14. This is the point that I was trying to make. NCL simply doesn't notify their customers in a timely manner, for *any* port.
  15. We've done this one...great experience!
  16. Don't worry about this thread title...it will drift off after a couple of days.
  17. Maybe there really *is* a roll call since you had the wrong year? If there's not...then just start one yourself. Nothing "magic" about it!
  18. The topic of tipping has *always* been a hot button for many people....
  19. This is not a Canada/New England itinerary that I'm referring to...I was responding to the fact that NCL is not that responsive when it comes to notification of changes when other sources *did* have the changes.
  20. Well, I can field that one. We did not get notified from NCL of some major itinerary changes for our cruise next week. Several of these "non-governmental" sites had the changes about a month ago.
  21. The "web version" is one of the best kept secrets around!!
