  1. I am sure Rydges (old Holiday Inn) at Circular Quay jacks their prices up when the ships are in. The other week they were charging over $300 for their standard room, more than I paid for the Marriott up the road, pre Coral Princess. Rogues.🤬
  2. Another Batemans Bayite like myself.😁
  3. Send in your discharge book or certificate of service, once on file you get it automatically, with Princess anyway. I have got it for years due to 3 years British Army and 6 years Australian Army Reserve (ye olde CMF.) Buys a few vinos. Got $100 on Coral last week.
  4. This old bloke is in mourning, his beloved Souths got hammered by the Penrith Panthers. Our Mr Walker...Neil is probably still hungover from celebrating, lol'
  5. To be honest, Swans were completely outplayed by Geelong Cats.
  6. The gf bread on Coral last week was Horrible. So I bought a Helgas gf loaf in Coles in Melbourne and kept it in cabin fridge, took it to buffet and mdr.
  7. Yeah Geoff, like on Coral Princess, gross nuked, cremated deep fried streaky bacon. I stuck with the ham steaks. The nuked yankee stuff should have stayed in the Land of the Free.
  8. Get one from KMart, around $100. Best thing since sliced bread.
  9. Swans were robbed like Qld Cowboys were last night. Swans needed. Warwick.
  10. Or in Nu Ziland….Fush un Chups..🤣
  11. Some of the Pacific Island Governments are corrupt, it is fact and it is written. No doubt wheeling and dealing going on between the cruise lines and govt officials. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
  12. Have you got an airfryer mate? I have one, I defrost the frozen pie in microwave for a couple of minutes then 15 minutes in air fryer on 170. Lubbly Jubbly. Got one in there right now.
  13. Just off Coral in Sydney, pub lunch was in the Bordeaux MDR. Fish and Chips, Steak & Kidney pie with chips, ploughmans, etc.
  14. Just got off Coral on Thursday in Sydney, Australia. No lobster tails in Horizon Cort or MDR's, not even on formal night, which we used to get. I asked a head waiter why no lobster tails, he shrugged his shoulders and replied I cannot tell you why. But we all know, cut backs by the bean counters. I remember the halycon days of the Princess embarkation day sea food buffet, alas no more.
  15. I just got off Coral in Sydney on Thursday. Mask wearing on the ship was required and enforced in public areas unless sitting down, eating and drinking.
  16. Exactly, I got off Coral Princess on Thursday in Sydney (Australia.) There were t shirts and shorts in MDR on so called formal nights and on all other nights. Princess should get rid of Formal nights if they won't enforce them.
  17. Off peak rail fares are cheap in NSW anyway, i.e. Engadine (Sutherland Shire) to City $3.70, so return off peak $7.40. I got an Opal Card and my travel to and from the ship from Engadine where I left my car was $2.50 with Opal Card, so $5.00 return on different days. Not a much difference from adult off peak fares, like a saving of $2.40 using Opal. But the advantage with Opal is you can go on trains, buses, ferries etc for the daily $2.50. I probably won't use my Opal Card again unless I have another trip to the City for the OPT or to Airport, but then the Airport line charges extra, not $2.50.
  18. Any pies on Oceana? Enjoy your cruise Linda.
  19. Last week they charged me $8 for a day card, that was the minimum. the actual cost of the 109 bus Terminal to City and return was $2.30 each way, it showed up as that when I tapped on/off. So they owe me $3.40. I will donate it to the Dan Andrews retirement fund, LOL.
  20. My cabin C333 on Coral Princess had he Aussie point on desk. Worked fine. I did not need to use my Bunnings $5.50 US adaptor, lol.
  21. LOL, off with Pippa's head we are cruise nuts on here.
  22. One lunch time on my just completed Coral Princess cruise, they had had Aussie pie day in Horizon Court, good array of pies, pasties and sausage rolls. No GF ones for Uncle Les, a tear fell upon my rosy cheeks.😪
