  1. Think I told you before Lyle we did a similar itinerary inc New York City on P&O UK's Aurora, a few years ago, from Southampton. A very interesting journey, you will enjoy it.
  2. Not sure, I did not ask, perhaps Cod? Julie would know, she is the food expert, lol.
  3. I often skip lunch when I have the big brekkie, even on the ships, I avoid the deck 14 button, lol.
  4. You could perhaps change it on the 'Dining My Way' section of medallion app. It has the capability of changing... cancelling/re booking etc. Failing that do it on board.
  5. I had a brekkie almost like that every morning on Coral Princess recently, either in Horizon Court buffet or Bordeaux MDR. Lubbly Jubbly. I would have to charge $25 for the brekkie in the pic.
  6. From memory they said on the show, they were cancelled the week before the cruise, but then the poor souls might have been 'verballed' by Channel 9.
  7. I can do better than that..The Full English, lol.
  8. Nothing wrong with normal MDR dining. Come join the riff raff. lol. Above all enjoy. I just turned up at 6pm to 6.30pm each night, asked for a big table to share, straight in, never waited a minute. Always on table of 6 or 8. Worked out fine and plenty of choices on menus.
  9. They would do good business with the many visitors down here, but historically many decline to open, Even the best chinese on South Coast, ..Raymonds @ Malua Bay. I bet I could walk through Batemans Bay CBD on Monday morning, the public holiday at 9am and find half the cafes closed, with people wandering the streets looking for breakfast.
  10. And no doubt the families interviewed got a couple of grand for appearing on the goggle box.
  11. Lovely photo m'lady. I apologise for going off track re advice to Sparky Marky. I will pull my head in.
  12. Been in several helicopters over the years, army and cops, always a bit nervous, they shake like hell.
  13. Mushy peas not on fish here Lyle, only with meat pies, although I have them as a veg. The Brits love mushy peas and curry sauce/gravy with their fish and chips, yuk. Yes, coleslaw, tartare sauce, malt vinegar with fried fish. When I was on Coral Princess recently, one lunch time it was English or was it British Pub lunch in the MDR, they did me a nice gluten free battered fish and chips, on request, mushy peas were optional, lol.
  14. Great job there Lye, I like coleslaw but where are the mushy peas and malt vinegar?
  15. Send you some rain over Lyle, has not stopped raining since I disembarked Coral Princess on 22 Sept. 50 mm in last 24 hrs.
  16. Personally I think all pax from overseas arriving on the ships from the Land of the Free should be tested before being being allowed off into the population. I would be interested to hear if there were any covid cases on Carnival Splendour upon arrival in Sydney.
  17. Of course Channel 9 twisted the truth to sensationalise the subject. So the families involved did not register the unvaxxed kids with Carnival Cruise Lines.
  18. Been raining for a week, heaps of water around. Batehaven bakery will run out of 🥧, still a lot of people down here. Crazy that several cafes and restaurants are closing Monday, dont want to pay penalty rates. They will lose a lot of business.
  19. Most decks on Pacific Encounter have a launderette, it being a former Princess ship. They get busy.
  20. Any one see the article on Current Affair last evening, some Aussie families had their cruises on Carnvial Splendour Cancelled due to their young kids not being vaxxed for Covid?
