Why not Barry? I did QM2, Sydney to HK and it was full on. Too dressy for me. Come 6pm the Dress codes apply in most public areas of the ship. I did not think the food and service were any different than Princess actually, unless you were wealthy enough to go Queens Grill or Princess Grill class. But the ship QM2, well there is nothing like her, unique and magnificent.

I have asked the question on the Carnival Cruises page of CC. I bet the North Americans have not lost it.

Does Carnival Cruise Line still give United States and Canadian retired and serving military the Military OBC? Reason I ask is the bean counters have stopped giving it to such people on the Australian based Carnival ships. Still giving it on Princess in Australia, I am recently off Coral Princess and got it.

The bit of the Airport Line from Wolli Creek to the terminals is still privately owned, thus the charges, it is ye olde 'Captive Audience syndrome.'

Just as easy to tap your debit/credit card on the trains.

Thats the one I used and was never charged. The printout from there was ok.

On my recent Coral 9 night cruise, I took no flash gear, so just packed my gear into a 9 kg airline type carry on case, did the self walk off. Took no flash gear for the first time and put in a couple of bags of Elite laundry, like jeans, shirts, jumper, lightens the load. Washed my unmentionables in the cabin basin and hung and dried them on the balcony chairs and tables.😁

A bit mean charging for the print out, I know it is only 35 cents but it is the principle. I don't possess a smart phone or i phone, just ye olde flip phone, no data, Aldi card job. I also do not possess a credit card, used my debit card. Ship accepted that debit card, although having $350 obc for a 9 night cruise recently on Coral I had no bill to pay, burnt just about every cent of the OBC.

But then you would have the silver bracelets snapped on tight and would end up in the Big House, lol. And no more cruises for a while, lol.

In Australia you have to produce a vaccination certificate from Medicare (Federal Government Health) certifying you are fully vaccinated, otherwise no embarkation.

Temperature Testing 100 at breakfast? They could only do that on the expedition ships, not on the big ones carrying 3000 plus.

I booked our P&O UK cruises via an Aussie on line T/A. As you say you cannot book direct with P&O UK from OZ, but through TA or P&O Australia. I found the pricing competitive.

The machine is on the deck where guest services are, Deck 5 - Plaza, midships. I printed out my a/c 3 times, no charge, maybe an Elite perk, lol.

Malt Vinegar on chips, ketchup or Brown Sauce (HP etc) on pies and pasties, etc.

They are on Regal Princess out of Barcelona. Don't think I will watch any more episodes, lol. I don't want to get too excited, lol. BTW I did not see their Princess medallions around their necks, maybe they hid them, lol.
