Try Marriott, 10 minute walk to Terminal. Rydges is not good value when the ships are in, they whack the price up to $330 a night. Better value elsewhere.

In 20 years of sailing on Princess ships all over the world, sadly I have seen dress stands really degenerate. Many pax just do not care, nor does Princess apparently. You get the scenario on formal nights at a table with a bloke in his tux/dinner suit and another in his scruff jeans, sports shoes and t shirts, or dare I say it shorts ! Outrageous. I have seen these things. As I have said many times re Princess..get rid of formal nights if you are not going to enforce the dress code. It is a farce currently.

Do you visit the Buffets? The Horizon Court Buffet on Coral Princess recently was very good, plenty of variety and hot food, whilst in the MDR the food was often lukewarm. I had several meals there in HC, BLD and a snack in between.lol.

I had a pool in my Sydney house, but not down here in Batemans Bay. Like 6C this morning. The only time I go into the ocean down here is Feb or March, too cold otherwise. Yes pools not used are a pain in the butt to maintain.

Would be rolled into the price for sure. I thought the prices were average for run of the mill cruise lines. What you would pay in a decent restaurant...eg $8 or $9 a beer, $10 to $12 a glass of vino.

That is what we need, solo deals, under $300 a day.
