  1. I am a frequent cruiser (6 Carnival cruises since the restart) and haven't had any problems with a table for 2 on any of those cruises). I was on a B2B on the MardiGras in April during Easter so it was a full capacity sailing and never had an issue with getting a table for 2. In fact one evening we were given a table in Cucina that was a little too close to other occupied tables and we requested another table and they seated us at another table right away that wasn't cheek to jowel.
  2. There's absolutely no issues getting a table alone for two. ZERO. If there's no two tables available they will seat you at a table for four alone.
  3. The Pride, in Europe has earlier room vacate times.
  4. Why don't you show us what you're seeing by taking a screenshot.
  5. About twelve or so years ago I was in London with my family and we went to a British chain restaurant similar to TGI Fridays. One of the food selections had an ingredient called ROCKET. Having never heard of it we asked the server what that was. For the life he couldn't explain it, so he said wait a minute, I'll be right back. He went into the Kitchen and came back with a piece of Rocket. We all said, Ahhh, we call that Arugula. We all had a good laugh!
  6. Neither. You can pay to have clothes pressed. If you are Elite Level or above you do get one complimentary pressing of two items for each person with status.
  7. There have been times when we requested to sit alone and no tables for two were available so we were given a table for four and sat alone.
  8. I guess you can say the same thing about Celebrity cruisers sailing in Retreat Class and enjoying the Retreat Lounge. As you see on this board there are many, many loyal Retreat Class passengers that lament the conversion of Michael's Club to the Retreat Lounge and pine for the dark, clubby atmosphere of the old Michael's Club.
  9. I'm still trying to understand what you're implying. Are you referring to general corporate issues or the actual cruise experience that Virgin and MSC is similar?
  10. I was on the 7/27/22 4 nt Scarlet Lady sailing and we docked at the Front St Pier as scheduled. It was an extremely hot & humid day so I just stayed onboard and enjoyed the ship considering it was only a 4-nighter.
  11. A nice pullover sweater doesn't have a collar but is an appropriate evening wear.
  12. Yes. Here's what we wore one evening. Jeans and a polo-type short sleeve and a nice pullover.
  13. Really? I don't get one iota of a MSC cruise vibe being on the Scarlet Lady. There's nothing remotely similar about the Meraviglia and the Scarlet Lady, literally nothing is the same.
  14. I would agree with you, maybe upper level mainstream, but definitely not a 5*. There's no way a cruiseline where the top cabin category below a suite that has a sheer curtain for a closet door can be considered a premium cruiseline.
  15. They are probably commercial grade made for professional use and not sold to the consumer.
  16. The problem with moving your own stuff is it's going to be in the way of the cabin attendant cleaning out your new cabin. You'll be making it MORE difficult for the new cabin attendant.
  17. Those are nice, but yes, I have never seen them before. Supply chain issues?
  18. Agree, I was on the Reflection and Apex in a Sky Suite and never saw coasters.
  19. I would first checkout what the status of the new cabin is before put anything in the safe. Remember, once the B2B's clears Passport control and is free to go about your business it will be quite early, probably 1 hour before the new cruise embarkation. You won't know how far along the cabin attendant has made on the new cabin. If you go and checkout your new cabin and see all the drawers still open, closets open, bed unmade, I wouldn't put anything in the safe or in the closets. That's why it wonderful when you can have the same cabin on a B2B.
  20. She's on vacation. Nothing to worry about. This post isn't her profession, it's something she wanted to do. If she doesn't post another word that's just the way it is.
  21. You will pack your bags and leave them in the old room, and your cabin attendant will transfer them to the new cabin.Talk to your cabin attendant and they probably will allow you to keep your hung garments on the hangers and will move them to the new cabins on the hangers. Unfortunately you won't have early access to the new cabin; the cabin attendants don't necessarily makeup B2B cabins any earlier.
  22. There is someone posting about last week's Solstice Alaska cruise. So far they have posted the daily planners up to day three, where there is a listing for family hours from 4-7pm in the Solarium. The first two days the Solarium, where the indoor pool is located, is adults only. This confirms my initial posting of limited family hours in the solarium on cold weather itineraries. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2874285-live-solstice-rt-seattle-to-alaska/?do=findComment&comment=63808630
  23. There is no Celebrity ship with retractable pool covers. All Celebrity ships have an indoor pool;however, they are for 16 and older. In the situation of Alaska they may designate a limited time where the indoor pool may be used by children. Someone currently on the Solstice can chime in.
  24. On the S-Class ships the sauna stove is hidden behind the wooden benches. If you look along the sauna walls there will be a small rectangular tray, a wooden enclosed metal box will a long slit in it, which is where you'll pour in the water. The water will travel through a tube until it reaches the heater.
