  1. You're aware the Infinite Balcony is not a real balcony?
  2. I would choose the Freedom sailing. Bigger ship with more room and more dining choices and better Port stops
  3. Correct, I misstated the form. And to answer you question, the majority of the W2G forms my husband gets annually is from the cruiselines, since we spend so much time on cruises.
  4. What do you mean by that? I was going to suggest the Celebrity Eclipse.
  5. I have recently assisted my parents with booking an Inside cabin on the 10/26 sailing on the Beyond (We're on the cruise in Aquaclass). They were assigned Early dining and waitlisted on Select. A few days later they were granted Select Anytime, so I hurriedly tried to make reservations for them. I guess there was a reason for Select Anytime not being available right away; the earliest advanced reservations in any of the four dining rooms is 9:00pm!!! Before I speak with my parents about possibly changing back to Fixed Early dining, can anyone currently or recently on the Beyond and had Select anytime without reservations comment on the how difficult it is to get a table for two at a reasonable hour? Any insight would be helpful in deciding what's best for my parents (Ages 93 & 84). Thanks in advance!
  6. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think they are doing that anymore since the restart, which would explain the lack of mention. Reviews pre-pandemic were always a fraught with complaints about wind and cold food.
  7. Gotta accumulate Frequent flyer miles. If you sign up for a new airlines affiliated CC there's bonus miles given. It will be about 40,000pts/pp to fly back from Australia.
  8. There were no lectures this year on the Pride Europe sailings. I was on a b2b2b and none of the 3 sailings had any lectures. The CD didn't even bother to do a daily morning show.
  9. While I agree most people would wear a bathing suit in those situations you could technically go in with just a towel wrapped tightly so nothing that should not be showing is exposed. The same can be said about the co-ed thermal suites on many Carnival ships. The point is not to expose parts of your body that shouldn't be. If you can do that with just a towel that's just fine too.
  10. On other cruiselines a TA cruise is an opportunity to listen to a lecture about the history of the places you will eventually be going, or on topics such as history, science, famous figures, etc. Since there's usually 6 or more seadays and the weather most likely won't be sunbathing weather attending a lecture is away to pass the time and learn something new that you normally wouldn't take the time to listen to in other circumstances.
  11. No lectures on Carnival whatsoever. Which particular sailing are you looking at? What additional information are you interested in?
  12. For all intents and purposes Suite class on Carnival is just larger rooms. There's not much else that comes with it besides priority boarding and disembarkation and 2 bottles of water. That's it. Enjoy your cruise!
  13. No registration. Access via spa entrance then down the hall. Steam and saunas, also free access to everyone, in the spa/gym locker rooms.
  14. I wish it was an Elite offer. The high speed Wifi package for 2 people is over $800 for the cruise.OOOF!
  15. Anything without alcohol is included.
  16. No, we had that offer but booked under a better offer- Plan Now Play Later - Up To A Free Balcony Room (FVB).
  17. In order to squeeze more 2 tables in they placed a two table right past the wine cabinet in a space that was meant as a walkway from the rear kitchen.
  18. That's a WHOLE different discussion and speaks to different cabin categories within AND between decks. It has NOTHING to do with the bed being by the window or bathroom.
  19. I was in Aqua Class on the Summit last November during Thanksgiving Week and we did have to wait two nights, about 20 mins. Blu is a small dining room on M-Class ships and we do enjoy eating prime time at 7pm. we were given pagers and yes it was a bit annoying but we sat in Cellar Masters and had a drink while we waited. Also a heads up, there's a table for two in Blu in the rear on the left side that is in a TERRIBLE location and it was routinely rejected by everyone. Most of the two tables are in the rear and sides of the dining room.

  21. There was a similar post from a regular poster here, I think his screen name is STOCKJOCK and had a similar experience booking a new cruise, but he finally got it straighten out. It may be a programming blip/error but you can be 100% sure there no charge to have the beds put together or apart. To think otherwise is simply foolish.
  22. Blu on M-Class ships is a small dining room. On the Summit we did indeed have to wait about 20 mins on two nights when we went at 7:00pm.
  23. NO, not necessarily. The OP needs to speak to BCC to see if always included is in fact included. BCC upgrades can be cruise only OR Always included. What the OP will 100% get is access to all the Retreat amenities. But the Classic drinks package, Wifi, and tips aren't part of the standard amenities. If I was the OP I would call BCC and verify. I've done multiple BCC cruises, some with always included, but most BCC Retreat upgrades are CRUISE ONLY.
