  1. This seems to be a trend on new builds of vall cruiselines, but I guess with a finite amount of space they want to devote it to the other actual spa amenities. I don't think I like Virgin's solution of doing away with locker rooms and having individual unisex changing rooms and shower stalls. The other annoying thing is complicated electronic locks on lockers. Everyone has problems with them and eventually the spa staff gets tired of always resetting the locks and/or having to open a locker for a guest so they just leave the lockers with unusable locks.
  2. I think there definitely a difference between having drinks while getting a mani/pedi vs drinks in the thermal suite. Alcohol and hot rooms such as saunas and steam rooms aren't a good combination and could lead to situations with health related risks.
  3. Yes, looks like you summarized the situation perfectly. Our first cruise on the SL was through URComped, but the next one in January on the VL was a comp directly from the SL's casino department for play earned on our first sailing. As an aside the casino staff on the SL was really nice, and apparently most are from Celebrity and Royal's casino department. There's supposedly a VV Casino program rolling out sometime the end of the year.
  4. There is no thermal suite on the Pride. There is a hot tub that's located in the middle of the fitness center and enclosed with glass and is complementary to all cruisers. There are single sex steam and sauna rooms located in the locker rooms which again are available to everyone, no extra cost.
  5. Spas and alcohol isn't normally mixed. The idea of many spa treatments is to cleanse and detox, just the opposite of drinking alcohol. There are very, very, very few land based spas if any that would have a bar in their Thermal suites. It's antithetical to the whole spa culture.
  6. Well I'll have to eat my words and apologize. Went back to look at the daily planners for the 2/6/22 Reflection sailing and lo and behold it's right in there:
  7. I know the OP is concerned about Port of Charleston but here's the priority debarkation letter for Port Canaveral:
  8. BCC is a terrible program. Like much of what Celebrity does there's inconsistencies and non transparencies. My husband, who is the gambler in the family, always tells me the issues with BCC. 95% of the time it comes to who the onboard casino host is. Some of the are really very helpful, some are just terrible. For example, as you should know, one the last day of your cruise you should speak to the casino host to find out how much onboard comps you earned on the trip so you can offset folio charges On one ship he had a casino host tell him she doesn't think that all casino gamblers should be entitled to onboard comps. Really? On the other hand we were on a different ship and this casino host was so nice she gave him an estimate of the onboard comps earnings on the 2nd to last day so we kinda knew what to expect.
  9. You're absolutely right about that. It was cash on the Pride too.
  10. What you should do in the future is on the last day speak to the casino host and ask what your play was for the cruise and what your accumulated points for slots and table games are. This way you know what you SHOULD be getting on the next cruise.
  11. Must be something very new. I've been on 3 Celebrity cruises since the restart, including the Summit and never heard of this event in the casino.
  12. No, it can only be used to GAMBLE with.
  13. While I don't know the answer to your exact question, I tried to do a Loyalty Program Status match having finished my first VV cruise(casino Comped) in July with another cruise(also casino comped) booked in January and this is the response I just received:
  14. 4-6 pm is always a great time to use the gym.
  15. Are the chocolate ships still hard as a rock? I've sailed on one previous MSC ship and with status match received the diamond benefits. I remember the chocolate ship being so hard you couldn't even bite it and it was useless.
  16. The thermal suite on E-class ships are coed and there are no single sex saunas or steam rooms in the Spa locker rooms. Additionally, the spa locker rooms on E-class ships are only for those that have a spa treatment or have a thermal suite pass or staying inn Aqua Class. On M & S class ships the spa/gym locker rooms are open to everyone and have a single sex sauna located in the respective locker rooms. The fitness center on E-class ships doesn't have an associated locker room.
  17. New York's newest ULTRA luxury hotel, the Aman, New York is a membership only hotel with rates of $4,000/nt. The aesthetic is a sleek, cool, contemporary Asian. The Haven has the same aesthetic. https://www.aman.com/hotels/aman-new-york/gallery https://onemileatatime.com/news/aman-new-york/
  18. Look at the deck plan on Celebrity's Website and look carefully at each of cabins. Look for an indent along one of the cabin walls. This indent is where the bed will be placed. If the indent is closer to the outside of the ship, the bed will be near the window. If the indent is about center to in the cabin the bed will be by the bathroom, since the bathroom isn't drawn in on the deck plan.
  19. I knew what you meant but still had to Google your usage of Costume and it took several searches to confirm your usage, lol! short for swimming costume
  20. Just remember if you have the hotel call a taxi there MAY be several Euros fare already on the meter since the meter starts when the cab driver receives the call from the hotel. Don't worry about it, it's not a scam.
  21. The area around the Serenity Pool and bar is consistently the most crowded area of Serenity. I've been on the Mardi Gras for three cruises; last year on the fifth sailing, and a B2B this past April, and that area is always where everyone hangs out at prime time.
