There are very few things in life you can guarantee, one is someone posting a question about dress codes and the other is taxes

There is nothing wrong with the buffet just the to posh to wash brigade, on our last cruise with used the buffet mdr beach house, glass house and the epicurean not forgetting the pool side eateries.

We never had a survey even though only time I visited the reception was to pick up the newspaper

We didn't stay on St Vincent but took the ferry to Bequia, we walked along the path to the right to the plantation hotel who have a small beach, it was really enjoyable nobody trying to sell us anything. We must be like ships in the night we also ate in the Epicurean last but one night and really enjoyed the food, than the glass House the last night also excellent food.

That was our impression on the meals, but puddings are either incredibly sweet or bland ice cream was good though.

Sorry you lost me I am currently on a fly cruise, so what I am saying is one formal night a week not worth the extra weight, on a one week cruise for me really wouldn't be bothered either way

So you could take your suit for one night a week, for me one week probably wouldn't bother.

If you add the new ships than you will get less on average, but if you do a ship by ship calculation than you will find they have not reduced.

Room service trays outside cabins doesn't mean anything, my wife as not been well last few days pre existing condition, so there as been trays outside our cabin. More tales from the dark side I fancied so pizza so popped down got a plate started to pick a piece up with the spatula and a woman leaned across me and ripped a piece off with her fingers, the server told her to use the equipment supplied she just smiled and walked off, the remaining pizza went in the bin

If it was 1 a week there would be no point in taking a suit, than it would be the death knell of black tie nights, ( not because we stopped doing it).

Sorry but reread my original post they past us in the horizon, we did not trail them to see where they sat that would be weird. Interesting to see you say there are less formal nights, on the cruise we are on there are 5, so your argument about being less is more to do with your imagination.

P&O will eventually change when there is no longer a demand for black tie nights, until the majority wishes for change let's stop moaning about it and either accept it or change your cruising preferences. As for the young people who passed us carrying trays of food, I would hazard a guess they was about to eat.

As a side note we have just had lunch in the horizon restaurant, on the way out we was passed by a young woman in a bikini and a group of lads with there t-shirts over there shoulders, are we being old fashioned in thinking that's not right or is that moving with the times. Yes we eat in the buffet judge us if you will 🤣

You are correct in your assessment but currently on Britannia the dress code seams to be enjoyed my many generations of cruisers, the current debate about should P&O change they are the new ships coming on stream the black tie nights or celebration night are virtually extinct. The real point is would you like P&O to be no different to any other cruise lines, some on here wouldn’t mind than they could complain about falling standards than reminisce about the good old days.
