Standards must have been very poor on Iona, we was on Arvia and not once did we have a problem getting to our table and have not read it anywhere else there have been problems

No idea which ship you was on, they give your waiter a ticket which tells them the table you have been given and they take you straight to it, that is the system they have used on every cruise ship we have been on.

I wasn't going to bother replying to this thread but after reading how this cruise line or that cruise line is far superior to p&o, I really would have thought they would have abandoned P&O by now, why pay to go on a cruise who you believe is the pontins of the ocean waves.

Just to put my trotters into the debate, what actual use are pigs apart from bacon sausages chops etc etc etc.

The best thing any cruise line should do is refuse to accept debit cards at point of booking, if the person still insists on using one they must accept the consequences, before people say some people cannot get credit cards, there are multiple companies that supply them to those with poor credit issues, and I know the interest rate is higher but you would not be using it for general expenses.

Didn't see one photographer on Arvia just lots of bloggers, they was everywhere like a plague.

I still find it interesting to see P&O compared to other cruise lines, you can only really compare them if going on similar itineraries, then you make the choice is it worth paying more to have turn down service and seeing more items on the menu which you probably wouldn't choose anyway.

Plus P&O as not got the largest fleet in the group so they try to cover all basses

Your reply to my post is baffling but those who liked your comment obviously didn’t read my post, at no point did I question anyone’s choice to sail with whoever they chose to it’s your money to do with what you wish, so please reread my post.

I always find it amusing how people moan about p&o and still sail with them, but p&o must be doing something right for the amount of people still sailing with them, but each to there own.

We found that people book in advance for the restaurants then don’t turn up, we had a conversation with a waitress who told us they cannot release the tables because the people who have booked them might turn up, hence why there was lots of empty tables.

We love the sea days hence why we mostly do TA’s, so the 8-9 days would be great for us.

I think I saw the OP wandering around the ship still trying to find the muster station last year

Same here we booked our Christmas cruise whilst onboard ship, the price is yet to be beaten

Totally agree with your comments, we came to cruising late and really enjoyed the experience, then I joined this forum to find out what others have lost, to us to be honest it didn't matter all that mattered was we enjoyed the experience.

The problem is how will the new cruisers know what they missed without ever experiencing it, they go on a cruise enjoy themselves not burdened by what the older generations had.

Overweight passengers listen I am the correct weight but the wrong height, if I was 3ft taller my weight would be perfect.
