Experienced both. Bang for the buck goes to the YC experience. In the bigger ships you literally do not have to leave the YC area. X commingles most of the suites on floors with non suites and venues are scattered all over the ship. We prefer the YC and will continue to book as long as the rates do not go crazy.

Cant think of many other free food. Taco Restaurant is $18 pp, unlimited. Gelato isnt cheap but good. Have seen a soft serve free area but have no clue what you are getting for free. I wouldnt give soft serve glop to my kids.

Got to love the internet. Believe 1% of what you read here. If you have to flaunt it, you know the rest of the saying. Why would anyone go into specifics on here? I take tipping threads with a huge grain of salt.

I was thinking of that but the parents probably do their Due Diligence and check the expiration and I would be vilified.

On the Divina in May they had a bunch of Mars Bars expiring in two days. They were normally circa $1.25 but because of the expiration date they were 20¢ each. I bought 50 of them and all the neighbors indulged at home. They were delish. What a windfall. Right place at the right time I guess, lol

We were told it is only $10 max per person. The wife was happy getting 20% because of my generosity. Oh well,, happy life, you know the rest.

We booked the Divina 9/11 when the little Darling are back in school (hopefully), lol

We sailed 4 months on a competitor starting in MIA, to SA, thru the Panama Canal, up the coast of Calf, to Hawaii, to Tahiti and surrounding French Polynesian Islands, to Australia (all over the continent), to New Zealand, Isle of Pines, Vanuatu, to Indonesia, (Bali) , Viet Nam, Thailand, Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong and a few more places (mid Oct 2012 to mid Feb 2013). We planned our 120:days for a year prior to boarding. We had so much luggage we had to fly First Class since the extra 4 suitcases were extremely expensive. First Class has it luggage privileges. Unfort, we did not have the same suite on all cruise segment but the Butlers took care of everything making the move seamless. It was exciting everyday visiting many cities in countries we have never been too. We took 4500 pics. We used a discount TA who netted 50% of the commissions against the fares. It was a once in a lifetime experience. Since Covid we have 14 cruises repeating the same PC to OC to Nassau to Cozumel to Costa Maya ad naseum but its better than being home. Just a let down when we think about our 2012 late retirement celebration cruise. Was it worth the cost of a new 911 Turbo S? 1000% yes. The memories are indelible and will stay forever. Poster, dont procrastinate, have a great time!

We only sail (14 cruises) in the YC. I do not drink. Water only. My wife hardly drinks. We do not use the spa or the pools. We like the service and the crew in the YC. Keeps us returning. 9 upcoming YC cruises booked from Aug to Dec. GUESS we are subsidizing the drinkers and Spa users but that is fine. i order 18 way power seats in my cars, set the seat up with the Sales Person on delivery day, push Memory 1 and never change the position again. We have experienced the Celebrity, RCL, Carnival suite experience and for the $$$$s nothing beats the YC.

Great news! We booked a 4 day and a 3 day. We get double the Diamond perks plus save time and $$$ not having to test 48 hrs before. We have a bunch of home test kits which we will do pre and post cruise.

No, it was free for us because we stayed in the YC. I was referring to everyone outside the YC if they wanted to experience this pizza, it would be $12.00. the Divina in particular has a dedicated Pizza/Bar area on Deck 7 near Butchers Cut Restaurant.and this Supreme Pizza can be ordered there for $$. At times a YC Passenger can order and eat there but normally the Butler has to retrieve it and deliver it to the YC. In the Meraviglia there is a Room Service pizza station in the back of the buffet. We found the pizza on the Divina from the “specialty” pizza area better on the Divina. If we were not in the YC, we would pay the $12 for the specialty supreme pizza. Below is the Meraviglia Pizza from the Butler. It was very good.

I have ordered Pizza at 11 pm. The Butler or Jr Butler on night duty will deliver. Best to call the YC Concierge to order it. I order a Supreme with extra sauce and extra veggies. The buffet pizza is excellent but they are not super loaded with toppings. Another version of the Supreme with difff cheeses added. Excellent too. (Divina, April 2022) Neither pizza is from the main buffet area.

If you want a great deal and an amazing pizza, order this $12 Supreme onboard. Back home this 4 lb pizza would be $30 plus tax and tip. We order two on a 7 day cruise delivered to our room. Highly Recommended!

Check out a bunch of Youtube videos. On some ships with Deluxe Grand suites you get a much wider room, longer balcony and nice size walk in closet. We always opt for the grand suite unless on a ship without one like the Meraviglia with just Deluxe Suites.

We seem to have the same problem booking b2b's. We have paid more but you get the add'l Specialty meal, $50 (each) OBC for each res # and double choc ships and double dinner photos. What the extra amenities are worth probably does not equal the excess charge. To do a 14 night cruise from PC it is a 3 separate booking adventure with lots of take home goodies. By now I could open a Jack Daniels store. We dont drink so they make great holiday gifts to neighbors and friends.

MSC has no such ridiculous charges. Maybe some smaller cruiselines do but MSC is very reasonable if basic medical attention is needed. The Divina Physician, Doctor Peter is an amazing caring young man. My insurance co. reimbursed me in full for the Pink Eye diagnosis and treatment. If I went to our local ER the bill would have been 3X and my waiting time in the Waiting Room would have been hours. kudos to MSC

I got Pink Eye last year on the Meraviglia, saw the Nurse, then the Doctor, got antibiotic drops all for $125. $3000? someone is telling a story.

We saw the two sand sharks last visit. They are not that small. Supposedly if you ignore them they wont attack you but seeing them near me made me nervous. I wonder why they keep them in the netted lagoon? We saw one large stingray.

We were on the Divina in March for 14 days and considered the ship beautiful, spotless with little wear for its age. We sail only in the YC but walked around the entire ship. We frequented the buffet a few times and found everything enjoyable. The Indian Food was amazing.

We are going on a 7 day YC (Grand Deluxe) and it was $5200. I equate this to a X Sky Suite but with more benefits and a dedicated Butler with the ship within a ship concept. We never had the same exclusive feeling with Celebrity, everything Micheals Club/Retreat was spread out on the ship. The YC experience made more sense to us even on the Divina with Le Muse in the back of the ship.

We only get ONE free Diamond meal per cruise. We each ordered the best tasting filet mignons with the huge salad. They gave us each a loaded Baked Potato and some asparagus to share. The meal was amazing. Had Cheese Cake for dessert on cruise 1 and the choc lava cake on the b2b.

In the YC they knew it was my BD in April and presented me a huge moist delish choc cream cake. We shared a slice and passed it around Le Muse. Everyone raved about it.

We were thinking a bunch of smaller, more narrow tables for two lined up in an efficient way. It is hot outside and birds do fly around. We leave the gangway at 11:15 and take a nice walk over arriving circa 11:35. With 200-300 YC Guests (hopefully for MSC's sake) it will pay to get there before noon.

Great air conditioned respite but have to get there early to get an inside table. Great service.

On our April cruise we had some amazing cooked to order Indian dinners. They cannot do enough to please guests in the YC.
