  1. Good morning! We booked an excursion on Carnival for our upcoming cruise, and when our friends who are also going went to add it, it is no longer showing on the list of available excursions. It is still in our cruise planner and we haven't been refunded or told it was cancelled. I am assuming it means it sold out? Will they be able to add it once on the ship maybe? Or am I wrong and it has been cancelled, we just haven't been told yet?

  2. Booked a Carnival 2022 cruise but need help with excursions. It's a Western Caribbean itinerary, with stops in Grand Cayman, Belize City, Mahogany Bay and Cozumel. We decided to go with those offered from Carnival, since Covid still has things a bit up in the air, and who know what next year will bring. For the excursions, we love beaches and snorkeling and - maybe dolphins or even something more adventurous? Is there even enough information out with the "new normal" to make a decision on excursions? In other words - reviews from 2 years ago probably won't be the same now, so do I just go with what looks good and hope for the best? I want this to be amazing so the family wants to keep cruising so am hoping to "wow" them!

  3. We have a cruise booked for 2022 (we are pretty sure about this one going, hopefully lol) and both kids requested a Dolphin excursion. We are going to George Town, Cayman Island; Mahogany Bay, Roatan; Belize City, Belize; and Cozumel.  Which of these ports has the best dolphin experience?? We would prefer something where the kids can spend some time with/interact with, not just a photo op!

  4. I posted in excursions but think this board gets more traffic!

Our cruise has a port day in Montego Bay. Our family  originally was going to just going to stay aboard as we have heard it isn't the best (pushy vendors, drugs openly offered, feeling unsafe) but as this is the first stop after 2 sea days, I am thinking a tour thru Carnival would be ok - can anyone comment on the Sail & Snorkel they offer? It is only an hour snorkeling then going to Margaritaville. Is it appropriate for kids (10 yr olds)? Thanks!

  6. Good morning!! Can anyone tell me if they have 24hr coffee in the Lido Buffet (travelling on Vista if that makes a difference)? Or is room service the only way to get coffee around 5am?? I am an early riser and would love to be able to get a cup and sit and watch the water roll by!  TIA!

  7. How bad is Paradise Beach going to be with 9 ships in port? Would any other beach not be as crowded (besides Nachi - not enough to keep kids from bothering me lol)? Or do we just assume ALLLLLL beaches will be overcrowded that day?  Any other suggestions?

  8. Thinking about booking the Chichen Itza by Plane tour - by far the most expensive trip I would consider for the 4 of us. Has anyone taken this and thought it was worth the cost??  Going with spouse and 2 kids, aged 10.  I want to see the ruins, but the thought of spending 4 hours going back and forth makes me grumpy!

  9. First time cruisers going on the Epic to Caribbean and very excited! We are travelling with 2 kids, aged 10 and I have a couple questions about activities.

    - For the water activities, do we need to "sign up" or get wrist bands or anything for them?

    - If they do the Splash Academy, will they have a something like Disney does with the bands for tracking and/or sign-in/out

    - Specialty Dining - can they get something from the kids menu, then order something ala carte? Like a dessert?

    - Is there mini-golf on board? I see pictures but it is not listed on the site? Did I just miss it or mix it up with another ship (had been looking at ALOT of ships lol)

    - Is lemonade included when you eat in the MDR or buffets?

    Thanks!

  10. First time cruiser and I am having a hard time deciding between excursions in Cozumel. I am going back and forth between the NCL offered "MAYAN RUINS, BEACH & ISLAND OVERVIEW" (goes to San Gervasio) and "Off Road Buggy Escape".  The Buggy Escape seems like so much fun, but I can probably do something like it (minus the tropical forest!) in the States. Can anyone tell me if the beach on the Ruins tour (Punta Morena) would be fun for kids (aged 10)? Reading that it is rocky and not as "clean?"  We won't have a chance to see other ruins on this cruise (no way I am driving for 2 hours each way with the kids!) so its these ruins or nothing. Worth giving up the Buggy ride and possibly nicer beach?  OR can someone recommend a reputable tour company that might offer something better? There are so many choices but don't know who to trust if it isn't thru NCL.

  11. Hope this is the right place to post this! First time cruiser and I am trying to choose a cruise to the Western Caribbean. Right now, I am going between the Carnival Glory and Norwegian Epic. Going with spouse and 2 kids (twins, 10). Trying to find a good balance between things to do ON the boat (kids are water dogs and love being in a pool or water park) and things to do OFF the boat. Kids would like wildlife and beach activities, not so much into ruins and historical places. I am a foodie and food is important to me, but noone else in the family is - they would be happy eating pizza and spaghetti every day, so that is not as important!  Cost is, of course, a concern, but would be willing to pay more to make sure kids enjoy themselves and get a more relaxing trip! The Carnival cruise goes to Montego Bay, Grand Cayman (Georgetown), and Cozumel while the Norwegian goes to Roatan, Harvest Caye, Costa Maya, and Cozumel. Thanks for any help!!
