  1. I really do wish you luck bro, and hope you have a good day. Your story is interesting and I'm pleased that after all this time everything is finally coming together for you. Regardless of your begining bro, the most important thing is how you have grown and worked hard to become the great guy are today, with your determination and the love of your adoptive family. Sis p.s not THE Davina Mcall?
  2. Hope all goes well for you at the hospital kalos. Who who🦉 Yes you😁 Avril
  3. Thank you Mrs K I'll look for that. I like to keep a couple of tins in for when we fancy a tuna sandwich😊 I buy frozen tuna steaks a lot too. The ones at Asda are really nice, not as good as fresh tuna obviously, but needs must. Two steaks in a pack are £5,but they are on offer at the moment at 3 packs £10 so I always stock up. One steak is 0.26g salt, so that's fine. I think?🤫 I hope😕 Avril
  4. 'Dad, where are the Alps?'🤫 'Ask your Mum, she puts everything away'😁 Now a true Dad and daughter tale.....When the Elvis film 'Loving You' was on at the local cinema, I was about 10 maybe?, I wanted to go but dad said I was too young to go on my own, After much begging and sulking dad took me. I'll never forget the memory of him sitting in that cinema surrounded by screaming, swooning and crying females.🥴 It must have been sheer torture for a man whose favourite singer was Teresa Brewer Avril Thinking back now, Dad also loved listening to Jane Morgan too, 'The day the rains came' was one he played a lot on his old record player
  5. How times change. It used to be 'eat up or there's no pudding'😁 Avril
  6. @Selbourne I've followed your cruise from booking, amendments, additions and upgrades and have enjoyed every minute. I've enjoyed the photos that took me to places I've never been and the descriptive write ups that had me smiling with delight, and sometimes crying with laughter, but have also been concerned over your health. I know how time consuming this long blog must have been, and I thank you so much for taking the time to bring us all along with you on your long cruise. I hope the last few days of your cruise will be more relaxed and trouble free. Fair wnds and following seas. Avril
  7. @grapau27 Always remember the good times Graham, and keep them close to your heart. My wonderful and much loved Dad died Aug 8th 1991 and I still miss him every day, but he has never left me as I hold all our wonderful times together throughout the years in my heart. Have a lovely day remembering and feeling thankful for all the happy times you spent with your Dad throughout the years. Avril x
  8. Mrs brian must have been very disappointed.😒 I know I would have been😉😁 Sis
  9. Welcome home. I enjoyed reading all about your holiday and seeing all the photos. Thank you. We all have our own tricks to try and combat jet lag on long haul flights. We would set our watches to UK time after take off when the seat belt signs were turned off, and then only used UK time to try to gradually adjust. It didn't work 100% of the time, but worked more often than not. Avril
  10. Many congratulations to you both on the safe arrival of your beautiful grandson.💐 Avril
  11. I use a laptop and haven't seen any ads either.🤫 I hope I've not spoken too soon🤞 Avril
  12. Frank says 'thanks for asking' kalos, and thanks from me too. Everything's still looking well according to his doctor so we continue going forward. The change in him since he was admitted into hospital 28th December is quite honestly incredible. Working out interesting and tasty salt restricted meals are getting much easier to do now too, so it will soon become second nature. He loves his coffee so I still have to keep a close eye on his fluid intake. He's gradually getting used to it, but I suppose I could always hide the coffee😁 I hope everything is still going well for you too kalos. Avril
  13. In rubber wellies that left a circle around your legs😬 Avril. ps Why has the blue quote colour changed🤫???
  14. Maybe he's too embarassed to put his photo on the board for fear of retaliation. 😁 Avril
  15. Your best write up yet Selbourne, hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing at your tour recollections.🤣 Your writing skills are impressive and I felt as though I was there. Avril
  16. @Peanut006 I'm pleased your Mum is back home and settling in well. It's amazing how much better we feel in our own familiar surroundings and to be able to look after ourselves a little. I'm sure she'll come on in leaps and bounds now and ready for her holiday in June.......and Wimbledon of course😉 Avril
  17. Oh how common bro.🙄 We had the Times on a hook😁 The ink was better🤣 Sis
  18. Smaller galley space I agree Pete, but less passengers, so less meals to prepare surely? We last cruised in 2019 and never encountered any of the cutbacks and problems with food that I'm reading about now. It seems to me to stem from the restart of cruising. I may be wrong but imo it is a cost cutting move. Avril
  19. Really? I thought you were Scottish. 😉 I looked that up too😁 Avril
  20. @Eglesbrech I'd never heard of momento mori, so looked it up. Very interesting. You're never too old to learn, every day is a school day. Avril
  21. The meds Frank took when he had a migraine stopped working after a while so the doctor prescribed him Pizotifen(? spelling) to take each night and his migraine attacks have lessened. When he does get one just two ibuprofen and a lie down works. He used to get them about once or twice a month, now maybe only two or three a year. Avril
