Taping up the trousers. Reminds of when I tried it. I was in a hurry to go on a date years ago when I was a student. The hem of my dress was down so I taped it up. While we were sat down in a pub my date said oh you seem to have got some tape stuck to you and proceeded to pull it. Very embarrassing.

They have not really. You ticked you didn’t want a free upgrade from P & O for all the reasons you started. This is different this is an opportunity to chose and bid on cabin /grade / position that you may have considered but not thought it worth the extra money. A possible bid may get you a better cabin at a price you are more comfortable with. If you don’t bid on anything, nothing changes. No upgrade. Can’t see P & O have ignored your request.

I think you are so right and I think your quote holds good for other aspects of cruising too. I remember quoting the same myself but can’t remember the thread it was on. I only stalk here or Cunard and seem to think it was in there.

For a world cruise it would all about the location so I would probably be tempted to move more midship .

It’s irritating but I would certainly not cancel a cruise over it and at the end of the day I am sure many others will just grumble and like me get over it. I certainly wouldn’t let it spoil my holiday. If I moved back to P&O I don’t have a high loyalty status to enable early boarding so would be cutting off my nose to spite my face.

I would be annoyed if my always available tomato soup was jazzed up. I make no excuse I like plain food. I am no stranger to the steak and chips option. I would not give a thank you for the enhanced menu so won’t be trying that. Great thing though there is choice. I like plain boring menus but appreciate others have more sophisticated tastes and enjoy meals I don’t.

I am glad I am not the only one. I don’t keep the Britain Today but I do keep everything else I take a plastic A4 popper wallet with me to put everything in at the end of the day to keep clean. Then I have a box at home they go into.

If it has a unique booking code there will be no repeats. If it is 2/3 back to backs there is a slight chance the Headliner show may repeat. On a recent TA there and back there was no repeats. The Insights guest speakers just tend to do one portion of the cruise. Other guest entertainers sometimes fly in and out so are not there for the whole voyage. On a T A there are no changes until NY or S’ton for obvious reasons. Sometimes the guest entertainers do another different show in the week but in another venue. The Headliners have a repertoire of several different shows so hopefully there will be no repeats. I still go even if I have seen the shoe before.

They are compiled by some news agency. I suppose CUK just has a licence to print them. The USA today looks just the same with different articles. Similarly with the ones in other languages. I always find them out of date too.

There would be the standard room service charge. It would not be free. I can’t remember what the charge is. I want to say £5 but that might be too much.

I have been allowed in earlier than my allocated time when they check the WC status on my boarding pass and at every stage of the check in. So going back to Ex Londoner’comments if you wanted to be really pedantic Diamond QG should be allowed to board before Platinum etc.. There is no point in having priority boarding at 3 when everyone is onboard and there are no queues. If Cunard have moved the goal posts and changed the interpretation they need to publish it because I think many others assume that we can board after Princess Grill and Britannia Club (if they remember to call it out). Interesting to see what happens in a couple of weeks.

I am not so sure because unless they take QV off fly med cruises there will no ships sailing our of Southampton save for a few possible QM jollies between T A’s

First time cruisers still get red. Your son will be a red and have a red as this his first time. You should have a proper platinum card. I don’t think once the template for the boarding passes is set they amend unless there is a cabin change.

Definitely as another poster said I get the membership fee back alone in one meal with the discount. I have renewed mine this week. Certainly saved more than £5 in the last 5 years. ( card validity shorter now )

I agree with you . Given the fuss that Alaska made getting the Passenger Vessel Services Act modified when cruising restarted they are hardly like to be considering a total ban anytime soon.

I don’t think I on my short cruise there will a problem of there being too many higher level tiers. Even on my recent T A in August there were only 135 Diamond. Sailing at capacity. Similarly on a recent 3 night anecdotally by the number of red cards I saw I think W C members would have been in minority. Hey ho very annoying if it’s a perk no longer offered but I will get over it. Interested to know what deck is first for future reference.

I have my two daughters and their partners with me . One is deck 10, one deck 6 and myself deck 5. I will check their times later. They are Platinum but won’t mean anything it seems.

I have been given 2 30 which is also very late and no priority printed on the boarding pass either. I am going to check website to see how this is now phrased.
