I was also told the Captain and other senior officers take off their name badges and other insignia showing rank. This from a Royal Caribbean senior officer so may be different for Carnival Corp and U K

I received them for everything booked for 2024 and even one from P& O which I completely forgot I had ever booked. I don’t think they are age related in anyway. -
I have received 4 Cunard straight after each other and 2 P &O . Assistance is not something I would need. As others have said they are just clamping down and pre warning folk. If this does apply to anyone and they chose to ignore it they have no comeback now.

You cannot use the free WiFi for anything but the Cunard webpages, (it’s not an app) If you want FaceTime you will need to purchase WiFi or use your own when in port.

Sorry I have never seen a book club advertised onboard post Covid.

I have never had a problem either. If I need to leave my seat there is usually some I can tell and say I will be back.

Well it’s due in 15th according to ABP. Given I am booked on this cruise for a special event I find your speculation quite upsetting. I trust your friend is in a a senior enough position to comment on the likelihood of the cruise not happening because there is quite a lot to be done.

Well it’s Drake’s Passage I am primarily thinking of. I am booked on QV in 2025. I have booked a mid aft balcony deck 5 so hopefully that will be OK and for the outward and return across/ around BoB too. -

You have both lost me now too technical . All I wanted was to know if mid aft was better than mid ? I like to be in the best spot. -
The most uncouth couple I ever encountered were in one of the most expensive Queen Grills suites on QM2 overlooking the lido . They were having a loud conversation with the couple in the next suite and they couldn’t string a sentence together without the “F” word. You couldn’t avoid hearing because they were so loud.

I only wear dresses and take 1 for everyday wear and another one for every evening plus a few spares. I hang them all up to start with and then at the end of every day pack the 2 I have worn away so by the end of the cruise there is hardly any packing. Couldn’t be doing with washing.

Yes I can’t think that far ahead I have something booked for January 2025 on QV but after that am going to wait and see what is available and at what price. -
Oh I like that 12 days of Christmas idea. Look around this year for felt decorations to buy as they can’t damage if the ship moves too much. Do you have Lisbon as a stop ? The Christmas lights were lovely and there was a Christmas market virtually next to the shuttle bus drop off.

There were definitely not very many close to sailing options this year. I was wait listed for several popular ones and never got offered anything. I was pretty wide with cabin choice too. The majority of my bookings were booked last year. Judging by the prices for QA there is no cost cutting, before I eventually booked the original price I looked at was many £100’s cheaper. -

I like Christmas decorations so last year for my pre Christmas cruise on QV I bought lovely felt decorations and put them on the wall of my cabin I also had a couple of light up tins from M&S plus a few battery operated strings of fairy lights. Tacky but I loved my Christmas themed cabin. Can only fit in a 5 nighter this December but will still take a few bits 🎄🎄

That’s around my birthday and I usually do a short cruise to celebrate on either P&O or Cunard depends on exact dates and itinerary but I have always missed the decorations being up. I don’t think they go up until end of November early December. Would love it if they did. -
They came to a charity event I attended in town. and brought loads of nice things they had made for sale. The contact was through Monty’s . - a community based charity if it wasn’t Shirley it was Swathling. I Hope you get something sorted I am sure you will get it repaired.

Taping up the trousers. Reminds of when I tried it. I was in a hurry to go on a date years ago when I was a student. The hem of my dress was down so I taped it up. While we were sat down in a pub my date said oh you seem to have got some tape stuck to you and proceeded to pull it. Very embarrassing.
