  1. As a previous poster has pointed out, reservations on Southwest are cancellable (for SW account credit) and can be changed with no penalty. So if the price drops (as may happen for a special sale,) you can cancel and rebook the same price, and receive a SW credit (not cash) for the fare difference.
  2. IIRC the check-in and the US Border Check were nowhere near one another. It seemed the check-in was at one end of the pier, and the Border check at the other end, and not even on the same level. A lot of time was spent walking back and forth between the two,
  3. For Southwest Air, all flights on both Friday and Saturday were/are basically unaffected - only very minor delays for the most part.
  4. Be aware that Celebrity no longer ports at Venice. Ravenna is the closest Celebrity can get to Venice.
  5. We took this Celebrity tour about 15 years ago. As you state, it is not clear how you get back from Fira. On our tour, we spent some time in Fira, had lunch, then joined the queue for the cable car down. I believe we were provided with cable car tickets, but the queue was very long; at least 30 min IIRC.
  6. Yes, the handover at the elevator can take quite a bit of time. We too waited about 20 min.
  7. For Grand Cayman, local tenders must be used, so the Magic Carpet is not used. But the "Destination Gateway" area is very well organized and efficient.
  8. The "new" Moll d'Adossat terminal has been in use for years by most large cruise ships. While it is not an easy walk, there are shuttle busses available. I'm not sure where the "30 minute walk" is measured from - Pl Catalunia maybe ?? If you use Google Maps, you can easily see both terminals.
  9. Grand Cayman is a tender port and Celebrity must use local tender boats. You might be better off booking the Celebrity excursion.
  10. It may be very useful if you have a later flight. FLL is now warning that airlines may impose a 2 hr advance limit on checking baggage. We recently used it for a 5:25 PM flight.
  11. I recently used the service from a Sky Suite on Ascent, and the $29 fee was NOT waived.
  12. But be aware that these tenders are not always used. In Grand Cayman, for example, local tenders MUST be used.
  13. Yes. The $29 was just charged to our account.
  14. When in Rome we have always used an outfit called RomeinLimo. They have excellent service, and they do services outside of the Rome area.
  15. Yes. We used it on our 1/28 disembarkation. Cost is $29 pp, but since we had only 2 bags,we only were charged for one person. It was a godsend to us, since we had a late afternoon flight and FLL is now warning about a 2 hr pre-flight limit on checking baggage.
