I don’t know how group rates work either, but I agree with you that you can score some great cruise deals. We just booked a group rate for the ICON with our TA and saved over $900.
I will always opt to have a TA. Currently, I am working on getting a credit that Royal owes me for a cancelled cruise from February. Received most of the money owing, but not all that was promised. I am so thankful I have someone as the “middle person” talking to Royal on my behalf.
I also enjoy the additional perks that come with a TA.
You will not need to book any of your shows on the Quantum Class, that only is necessary on the Oasis Class ships. Room service has never been important to us, so I can’t comment on that.
We love the Anthem! And we always enjoy the We Will Rock you show. We have seen Spectra on Quantum, Anthem and Ovation and don’t need to see it anymore.
We booked a Celebrity cruise last year on the Anthem. We received our normal OBC, the price was what I had checked prior and we paid the $200.00 deposit for the cruise.
We just recently booked a Royal cruise on Celebrity, but we didn’t receive any OBC.
We have to fly for all of our cruises except for Alaska, we can drive or take the train to Seattle. We have cruised 7 times this year and have flown each time. We had a flight in February booked with Flights by Celebrity going to Buenes Aires with 2 extra days before the cruise. We had weather issues/plane delays and ended up arriving the morning of the cruise. They did a great job finding us a flight so that we could make it to the ship.
We use Air2Sea when we fly international, but we have never booked to arrive the day of the cruise. I would never do that. Air2Sea has been great for us.
I felt the same way about the prices, but this last week our TA had a great group rate and I couldn’t resist. Keep watching, you might find a good deal.
I am glad you enjoyed it, I just don’t need to see it anymore. I really enjoyed The Book on Odyssey and have seen it 3 times. Many folks I spoke to didn’t like it.
I completely agree. We have seen the show on Ovation, Anthem & Quantum. Don’t need to see it ever again. It was okay the first time and then it has just gotten worse.
That is great! We have never won this and I wondered if they actually even do it. We just booked a cruise last month while we were onboard and they gave us a bottle of champagne. On Celebrity in February we were the first ones to book a cruise on the 1st day and we received an international adapter.
We just did this in Miami. We were doing S2S2S in which we had a stop on our first cruise in St. Maarten and purchased some fun rums. We let them know before we went through the scanners, they had us fill out a form and they brought it to us the night before disembarking. We did it twice with no issues.
