  1. I'm sure it would be but it's the least of my worries on modern cruise ships. Especially running into errant ice bergs.
  2. Not having a medallion might take 10 minutes extra or a little more depending on how many people you encounter standing on line. I still wouldn't spend the money to have them mailed when it's just not worth it to me.
  3. I'm sure they do have a limited number of life jackets available for the few who can't bring them from their cabins but at the same time they're counting on most people will bring one. If it's that much of an emergency I'm sure they'll let people know not to go to their cabins.
  4. If you do that on the last sea day somehow I think you might have a difficult time getting the $5 back. 😁 You'll probably only get a generic medallion at best.
  5. At home we're basically considered only sociable drinkers, so faced with a max of 15 drinks is out of the question (and they realize that). 😄 What's wrong with getting your fill of ice cream in the DR? Surely it's sufficient for most people.
  6. The OP has displayed my comments on the subject but I still can't justify it in the long run. Sure, it's nice to have it all but in the past we've never longed for all those items in the amounts they include with either package and would probably never even break even, all things considered.
  7. Those two things do concern me a little. They're usually items that can only be corrected when the ship is if dry dock and shouldn't have been something that occurs on a brand new ship. Sounds like a design problem. Hoping for the best. 🤞
  8. It sure is but just in case there's an emergency before the ship leaves port, some people want to be sure they know where to report.
  9. Well congratulations. I'm so happy for you. 😁
  10. Uh oh ! I've got to keep the patter away from my wife that day or she'll drag me to that gathering. 😉
  11. Since there are a few stations, the answer the security people will tell you is only to appease you & get you going in the correct deck and not necessarily the right one. 😄
  12. It's always been NON-refundable on our trips.
  13. It sounds as though you just got a bad batch from an inexperienced baker. On most ships, they're pretty good although sometimes a little sweet for my taste.
  14. All the does is delay others from boarding as quickly as they have to look it up for you.
  15. It's available on the phone after you board or on the cabin TV. You can start the video on the TV while you unpack. I usually go for go few drinks while the wife stays in the cabin with the medallions or it won't register that you were in the cabin.
  16. I always have my problems corrected sometime between 4 to 5 AM.
  17. If you arrive at the DR after 6PM it probably means that you'll be walking into a show after it's started and searching for 2 seats in the darkened theater. It might work for some performances but not for the production shows. Not cool.
  18. That's the key. Going after mid morning & you're asking for a 20 minute wait in line.
  19. That's the big problem with making reservations during a busy time if you only want a private table for 2- waiting for people to finish eating. If you don't mind eating with others it's a viable choice.
  20. The only time there might be a wait for a 2 person table is during busy times until someone is finished, even if you have reservations.
  21. Just stay away from rooms with connecting doors and you'll probably never hear much of any noise.
  22. Well after my personal experience I thought it wound be helpful especially since there was nothing they could do to fix the problem. They did move our cabin after trying numerous attempts to fix it. I love to hear if others sailing in that cabin still encounter it today. One thing for sure, we're finished with the older ships. There are to many newer ones in operation to even give it another opportunity to disappoint.
  23. No we haven't and had no desire to go back. I also disliked the buffet setup on the CB which is very similar to some of the other Princess ships but as I remember the DR was perfectly fine. We now stick with Royal class ships which don't have the similar problems with their AC and in the future we'll try the Sun.
