  1. I just found an old brochure from early 2011 with my old number which I had saved. I didn't realize I had a membership number, but evidently from my previous trips they converted it to 69 points. I can't log in with that number but I did with a new password this morning. Now all I have to do is get them to credit my account correctly. Another question- if I'm on a cruise & reach 80 points during that trip, when will the new membership level take affect? I'm thinking probably the next cruise?
  2. So now their handing out tickets ! Since it only seats 250 people max, there must have been quite a line up. What times were the shows?
  3. It's been many years since our last RCI cruise and our profile no longer shows credit for past cruises. Has anyone had any luck in getting past cruises credited to their account? I've sent them an email but haven't heard a word back from them. Thanks.
  4. If deck 6 is really true traditional then anyone at the door has to have a standing reservation/table for the whole cruise. That is of course unless they have an open table where they could seat you on a moments notice. You would still have to be finished by the time they begin to setup for the next group. I'm still wondering if it's as popular with many people. They've been wishing for it even since they changed to DMW.
  5. Thanks for the review and I agree that the ship layout does seem confusing. We're booked on it but unless I'm totally impressed I doubt if we'll return for a second cruise. I've read that the seating in the Dome is very limited and people begin to line up hours before showtime. Do you recall what times the shows were? We were totally happy with the Royal class ships and will probably stick with them in the future.
  6. I didn't want to give an exact time when smart casual was acceptable on formal nights but like you say it has been a while.
  7. You obviously haven't cruised 10 or more years prior on Princess. Although it wasn't true formal back then, they did require a jacket which then became a long sleeve dress shirt a time progressed. At least today we all have an option to dress as we feel appropriate.
  8. I think you may be right about that although we always enjoyed seeing the latest copy on our coffee table. The last one we have is dated 2022.
  9. I only wonder what took Princess so long to relax their dress code, especially since all the other cruise line did many years prior. Could it be that they were hoping to rise above the other lines & be considered a premium cruise line, similar to Cunard? Anyway, it's nice to know that our vacations can now be enjoyed without having to conform to any specific form of dress.
  10. Many people do just as you say & bring them additional bottles back at each port. Although they're suppose to turn them in, most just carry them to the cabin to drink. I've never paid them a corkage charge.
  11. I just wear what makes me feel comfortable. If it's warm in the DR, it'll be shorts, otherwise jeans which I never wear at home since it's never cool enough.
  12. You mean the published dress suggestions that 99.9% of the people completely disregard. 😆
  13. I never did either until some people on CC seemed to be so concerned about it. I never realized it was that important to some of them. After all is said and done, I wonder how many of those people that felt so strongly about proper dressing up have left Princess for other cruise lines? I suspect that most of them now just accept what Princess has become today.
  14. My wife donated all her sequin dresses to Goodwill many years ago & had never regretted it. She always complained about being uncomfortable while sitting in the theater.
  15. That's the exact reason Princess has give up on any enforcement of a dress code.
  16. It's really a shame that someone can't call Princess directly and get a straight answer. As others have mentioned, the rep you talked to probably hasn't even sailed on a Princess ship before and has no idea to what the current dress code is like. It sounds like their just reading you what is published in their playbook of answers to give the public. Just listen to what the CC members have to say and you'll be fine on any ship.
  17. And now that the internet has increased 65%, it's even a better value, right. 😑
  18. Simple mistake. I hope you didn't complain. 😄
  19. Princess realizes just how addicted some people are to using the internet and are taking advantage of the situation.
  20. No, they just won't let people book those restaurants before a certain number of days before the beginning of the cruise. I believe it's 40 days?
  21. Another Princess price increase that doesn't affect me. 😁 They can keep their internet and overpriced packages also.
  22. I think that change would sit well with lots of dedicated Princess cruisers.
  23. It's surprising to read those comments about the Enchanted. When we last sailed in March the DR was so cool my wife needed her jacket every night. They must have over compensated with the temp settings.
  24. That makes it a complete waste of money for us. We can use our WhatsApp when we reach port very nicely a fraction of the cost. The alcohol portion is questionable as long as you keep drinking, which we don't. A few a day is more than enough. All the other included things are just fluff for us.
