  1. I always thought that the terms and conditions that were in place when you made your reservation were the terms and conditions that apply to your cruise. Maybe I missed the part that indicates that Celebrity can change the terms and conditions whenever they want.
  2. I just received an email indicating that there are new terms and conditions. Can anyone tell me the difference. I'm not sure when it ended but it appears that any assistance if you contract Covid is over. I guess the Worry-free Promise is over. Just prorated refund for days in quarantine. What have I missed? Here's the link. https://www.celebritycruises.com/guest-terms/
  3. Still no PUP for me. Do you think LLP will give us another chance before she leaves?
  4. Thanks for checking. We were on in February and K.J. was one of the pianists and he was fantastic.
  5. I'm not sure about the Navigation deck but the balconies on the Panorama deck are smaller than the standard balcony. The balconies on the Panorama deck are not as deep, maybe 10 inches shallower.
  6. It's getting close and sometimes they post the points early.
  7. Has anyone received the points from last month? Who will be the first to report?
  8. Actually, the solid walls were an irritation on the Rotterdam in February. Or more specifically it was the power outlets. We heard a lot conversations from the neighboring cabins just sitting in our cabin. At times it seemed like there was a hole cut in the cabin wall.
  9. Because many people on this Celebrity board won't be there. 😉 No, just kidding. Longer more varied itineraries. I really like their ne Pinnacle class ships, I can purchase a pass for a room upgrade that provides access to the suite dining area. The buffet is nicer and they serve the food. Better pizza and hamburger venues. One negative is that they allow smoking in the Casino and next to the aft outdoor pool. Prices are competitive. The Music walk area is much more lively in the evening than anything I have found on Celebrity. You can walk the promenade deck around the entire ship.
  10. One potential issue is how did you book your current reservation. Unless you specifically request it, you new reservation will be linked and sent to the TA that made your current reservation. If it gets sent to a different TA than the BBTA, they will have to release the reservation before it can be sent to another TA or the BBTA. You need to be very clear to the person making the onboard reservation. I also never fill out any forms to transfer the reservation, I just call the TA with the new reservation number and they can usually complete the transfer while I am on the phone. As far as special or group rates are concerned, you need to talk with the BBTA after you get home and have them check to see if there are any special rates for the cabin category that you booked. if there is then they can move you to that rate. In the past I have often found reduced rates on the refundable booking that I book with the BBTA. So perhaps you want to book a refundable rate onboard and then investigate the rates when you get home and switch to the best rate for you when you get home. As enticing as the BBTA gift cards appear, they may not always reflect the best deal for you. Sometimes the larger TA's have group rates for your particular cruise combined with other OBC incentives from those TAs is cheaper than the final price from the BBTA. The best approach is to shop around before your cruise, check prices before you leave looking for any group rates. Then you can book the cruise on-board and don't attach the reservation to any TA. When you get home you can make the call to transfer the reservation to the best TA. Purchasing a cruise isn't any different than purchasing anything else, you need to shop around if you want the best deal.
  11. I wonder when the was the last time Celebrity offered this 14 day cruise.
  12. The last time I remember throwing ribbons into the ocean at departure was on the SS Constitution in Hawaii in the early 1990s
  13. We can only hope that Celebrity follows the wise advice offered on CC. 😉
  14. Perhaps you should do some research and see the differences between lines owned by a company.
  15. Sorry Bo, we'll have to respectively disagree on this one. The IV balconies do not come close to satisfying the needs of cruisers that spend a lot of time on the balconies. I think you're mistaken that the small subset of people on CC somehow don't represent the overall cruising population. Some like the IVs some don't. It would have been nice if they introduced some IV balconies but retained most of the conventional balconies. But LLP chose to swing for the fences and fouled out.
