  1. I spent considerable time this past winter and secondhand smoke was noticeable most of the time. From my perspective, the Sea View pool area wasn't useable. I'm glad it worked for you as a non-smoker.
  2. Good Luck, moving the goal posts is a valid concern. Just so you know when it's coming, it will be call enhancements to the CC program.
  3. At least he/she can get the notification from this thread that each of us have received our point or points.
  4. Someday I need to sail with you so I can experience the breeze not blowing the smoke into the non-smoking area.😉
  5. Does the breeze blow the second-hand smoke over to the port side?
  6. I'm not sure about which ships you've experienced but we recently sailed on the Rotterdam after numerous cruises on the S-class ships and I largely agree with your observations. We found the MDR on the Rotterdam to be unbelievably noisy. I think this is due the relatively low metal ceiling in the MDR on the Rotterdam with very little sound adsorbing material to be seen. We normally have Select time dining on the S-class ships and that is on the second floor of the dining room with higher ceilings. We really like the most forward areas on the S-class ships, they are a little more separated from the MDR and tend to be quiet. In contrast, the first-floor dining areas on the S-class that are located under the second-floor dining areas, have relatively low ceilings and tend to be noisy, very similar to the Rotterdam.
  7. If you pay in full at the time of booking, does that eliminate the risk of currency fluctuations?
  8. No worries, a simple "Me Too" is all we need. 😀
  9. The cause of most aircraft crashes is pilot error. I'll take the best pilot. Thanks
  10. I don't think men or women care about overall percentages. Professional growth and advancement is an individual issue and if either men or women don't have an equal chance, then either will feel cheated.
  11. I'm not really sure that anyone can correct history. You need to accept it for what is was, the good and the bad , and then move forward with the lessons you have learned. Everyone should have the ability to participate equally in the future. Mentors and advocates can certainly help but the playing field still needs to be level.
  12. This wasn't the case on the Rotterdam in February. Everyone got off the ship, went through Immigration and when everyone was off the ship, then we re-boarded. Clearance was done with facial recognition, so the act of going through Immigration only took 2 seconds but we were tied up for almost two hours until we could get everyone in the theatre, walk off the ship and then back on the ship.
  13. Same procedure as Celebrity. You get off the ship, get cleared by Customs and get back on the ship. However, there may be two differences. First, it appears that HAL recognizes your entire journey when you check in initially. If you stay in the same cabin, your room key will probably be good for the entire voyage. The dates on your card should reflect the entire journey. Second it appears that your onboard account may be connected through the entire voyage. OBC appears to be good on either leg and you get one bill at the end. If you are talking about the combined voyages, one thing that irritates me is that HAL appears to have a more limited selection of cabins for those combined voyages. For example for a cruise I just booked on the Rotterdam, I could only book a couple connecting cabins for the combined voyage even though there were plenty of cabins open for both legs. HAL's representatives refused to budge and would only permit me to book those cabins. If wanted other cabins, I would have to book the two legs independently at a slightly higher cost. When I booked another cruise onboard, I didn't have this problem. At least that was my experience.
  14. No worries, just stay tuned for updates on this thread. Your CC friends are here to help
  15. This is true, but it could change again if Celebrity wants to do something different. Celebrity can change the contract to whatever it wants whenever it wants.
  16. Thanks for reporting, I was starting to worry that you didn't get your point.
  17. No, but you can do the PUP activities for them, just use their Captains Club number. Sometimes you only have to do the activity once because you can include multiple CC numbers but sometimes you may need to do it twice.
  18. Me too. 😃 Only 2194 points until I reach Zenith 2194 Points to Zenith Tier
  19. Congratulations, you are the first to report.
  20. I don't think so, it affects my October 2023 cruise on the Edge. They sent me a note to confirm that I acknowledge the changes. I wonder what happens if I don't acknowledge the change.
  21. They paid for my hotel and airfare differences for my cruise on the Equinox in October 2022 when I got Covid.
  22. I think the part they eliminated is where they agree to pay for lodging, travel and other expenses if you get kicked off the ship. I guess they can kick you off the ship in any port and any additional expenses are yours.
  23. Yep, that's a good one. I guess that's where they have the right to charge for lobster.
