  1. The chicken appetizer at Gunbae is quite spicy and you can get sauce on the side + either to have not spicy chicken or have extra to make other things spicier!
  2. There is no tipping at all on the ship (terminal porters are a different matter). The price of your voyage covers the full wages for all of the crew.
  3. Here's hoping to another extension, we're headed to Greece in a few weeks and would like to have the perks. We were part of the canceled season last year so really looking forward to this!
  4. You can see the charge in the mobile app basically instantly after the bartender or server closes the check so you can review before leaving the bar. We noticed pricing was all over the place on our first voyage but was much more consistent a few weeks ago. I do think a lot depends greatly on how your particular bartender/server places the order.
  5. We've seen sports broadcast in the Social Club on deck 7, not sure what the rhyme or reason for doing such are. You have ESPN available in the room.
  6. When we were in Ibiza you could leave/board the whole time but I think at some point the shuttle service either stopped or was very limited. It's a haul into town if you had to walk it.
  7. We were able to do that, the check in person was a little confused and went and asked someone and they said try and see what happens. Seemed to work just fine, we had no issues.
  8. Yep, the restaurant just opens early basically. They just don't serve the main courses.
  9. When we went in December is was also hosted by the Foodie and one other (maybe the Spark?)
  10. Beef sando at the Galley (after 5:00pm) and the Social Club - nothing better than my wife destroying me at the racing game or air hockey and then grabbing a hot dog at the diner and a drink at Loose Cannon.
  11. Our last sailing was on a Wednesday and Scarlet Lady was the only ship in port, traffic was not a problem at all in the port area.
  12. Our experience has been mixed, and seems heavily dependent on the crew (like there's not a standard recipe guide or something). On our most recent voyage (on Scarlet in March) the espresso martinis across the ship were undrinkable but Sip made a pretty stellar lemon drop martini. We've had really good luck at the casino bar of all places, it's so small and out of the way but so far have never gotten a bad drink there. I'm pretty big into Manhattans and cherries are everything to me so I've found that I have to ask at every bar what kind of cherry they use because there was no rhyme or reason which locations had quality cherries. It seems to even change between ship/voyages at the same bar.
  13. According to this page on their site you can get some type of reservation "concierge" if you book a group of 8 or more. Might be worth looking into. https://www.virginvoyages.com/group-cruise
  14. My wife's WiFI calling was spotty but worked. Google Voice didn't work at all unless you went premium.
  15. The Dock and Dock House are usually pretty chill with laid back music. Sometimes an acoustic set outside or cover band inside. There was a DJ set at one point outside but didn't see that on our most recent sailing.
  16. Sun Club (poke bowls, bao buns), Pizza Place, and Social Club Diner (hot dogs, wings, pretzels, candy) are typically open for lunch as well.
  17. Just used the new flag service option in the Galley last week and thought it was a vast improvement over trying to flag someone down or hope they noticed you. Now just to get the delivery logistics figured out!
  18. This may be controversial, but I find the beef sando at the Galley (available after 5pm) to be the best kept dinner secret on the ship. I request au jus for dipping the fries in. Delicious and not reservations required!
  19. I'm on Scarlet currently and Google Maps is working fine as long as you are outside.
  20. Went last night and the ship is quite full, made for a very lively party. On our original Scarlet sailings last year it was fun but relatively small. Last night was an all out night at the club!
  21. Confirmed that it's still the same as @cantgetin described it earlier in the thread.
  22. In our sailings so far you had to watch the video on the app or on the TV in your room. Once complete you had to go watch a life jacket demonstration in person at your muster station. Participation was tracked by scanning your band. Boarding Scarlet today, will let you know if anything has changed.
  23. On the app, but only available once you are on ship WiFi. You can also stop at the station they set up during embarkation on deck 7 or directly at the restaurant when they are open.
