Very similar, with the minor differences pointed above. Another change is the tattoo shopped moved back in the corner by Extra Virgin. Where the tattoo shop used to be is a logo merchandise shop.
There's also no jetway type thing in Athens so you board and leave the sailing on deck 4 like any other port of call.
We have Deep Blue and noticed that the WiFi and the coffee never showed up on our bill at all which was nice. Previously it felt like it took forever to come off the bill or you had to bother sailor services. Not sure if that's just on Resilient or a fleet change.
If you tap the line items in the wallet it will show you a receipt with a description of what you were charged for.
I had ordered a specific, moderately priced whiskey at The Wake once and was charged for a significantly more expensive one. Sailor services contacted the restaurant and had it fixed for me the next day, so hopefully just some kind of mix up!
If the app has a button called "Book" it's a specific reservation for you/your party and you're guaranteed admission, you may also be charged a no show fee for the workout classes. If it says "Add to agenda" it's just a reminder and nothing more. Both will show up in the Me tab of the app.
You're likely thinking of the Schengen Area, which is a passport control free zone that includes most EU nations (but not all) and a few other countries as well.
We have done the Grog Walk several times and loved every minute of it, would highly recommend as it's a great way to meet your fellow sailors and you get dropped off at the PJ party at the end.
If the sailing is 6 days or less you can only book each restaurant once in advance. For 7+ days you can do 3 times per restaurant. You can do walk ups or request a restaurant to make you an additional booking while onboard.
Typically whatever games are available you can watch in your room if they have it playable in public areas. There are a few stations in the Love section of the tablet in the cabin and a special events channel.
We thought Around the World was quite campy, production value of Ships In the Night was considerably better. Ships is a lot more serious whereas Diva is just all fun.
Definitely make sure you are linked with your friends before you get on board so you can reserve for the group.
When you board you'll be taken to the manor where there will be a person from the different departments, find the dining person and see what you can get.
Yeah, you can make 1 dinner reservation per day and can only book each restaurant once per voyage under 6 days and 3 per restaurant on longer itinerary. We've been on 6 sailings now and it has always been that way. We had no problem booking reservations for Resilient maiden voyage either.
I do agree that dinner options are limited outside of the reservation restaurants but I like getting hot dogs and wings and really enjoy the beef sando. Really wish the Galley would keep sandwiches and tacos open in the evening.
Last sailing on Scarlet there was a sticker right above the handle that said AC turns off when door is open and unlocked. Maybe they forgot the stickers on Valiant? 🤣
Empty tables doesn't mean they have enough staff to seat them, bring at full capacity doesn't always translate into a butt in every seat.
I definitely think they should have asked the crew to wait and let passengers sit first.
In the app go to Messenger and then Contacts and see if your friends show up there. We've linked on a couple of sailings and it's worked but the process is a little strange and not clear that it made the connection.
