  1. Sorry, but think but you are incorrect there. Peninsular lunch and cocktail party starts at Caribbean level.
  2. You keep banging on about the additional cost of small ships. As I have said before, I get what I pay for and am grateful I can afford it. Each to their own.
  3. No, I meant those at the cocktail parties, I.e. Caribbean and above. They had to have 4 of them to fit everyone in! Pretty normal for Aurora though as she is a favourite with regular and long standing cruisers.
  4. Can honestly say food and service on Aurora was the best I have experienced post pandemic (and have done 12 cruises since resumption). Only ate in MDR so cannot speak for the buffet though.
  5. Although a suite passenger can be a first timer, whereas Ligurians tend to be regular cruisers. Over 1000 top tier pax on my recent cruise. No lounge any more either, just separate seating area.
  6. On Aurora it was Ligurian first, then suites/Baltic, then Caribbean. Loyalty tier and "priority boarding" is on boarding pass.
  7. Judging by the comments on here, it obviously is for some.
  8. Have a lovely cruise. Nice itinerary. I am on it too!
  9. Holiday Inn cruise package includes parking and is very good. Worth a look.
  10. No prebooking on small ships, just Arvia, Iona and Britannia. Don't worry.
  11. No pre booking on smaller ships. Just off Aurora. No queues, no problem. On Arcadia in two weeks and expect it to be the same. Only the new ships have these problems.
  12. It was advertised on social media.
  13. Had sailaway parties on Arcadia last Summer and on several cruises since, including current one on Aurora. Maybe not on the big ships though?
  14. Tromso last month. Makes up for no lights!
  15. Obviously there has to be some sort of boarding protocol, particularly on the big ships, otherwise it would be chaos and overcrowding. Just turn up at your allotted time. Luckily I am Ligurian and don't use the big ships, so no problem!
  16. Yes. On here 4 lunches and 4 cocktail parties. But this is Aurora!
  17. On this Aurora cruise there are over 1000 club members so needed 4 cocktail parties!
  18. Depends on what sort of cabin you want. As I said, you get what you pay for. Worth it to me.
  19. You are talking about Arvia. Totally different cruising experience. Each to their own.
  20. No problem getting into shows, etc, as venues on small ships are big enough for the number of pax. Hence no need for pre booking.
  21. It is. So was my cruise on her last month. Get what you pay for.
  22. Simple answer. If you want spontaneity and not to be constantly organizing yourself, stick to the smaller ships. Lovely on Aurora at present. No queues, no pre booking, no stress!
