  1. How refreshing to see a balancing post showing how experiences differ.
  2. The current price reductions show that maybe some cruises are not selling as well as they might. Some good deals around, particularly for solos.
  3. Board about 1230 to 1300 usually. Relax, now on board. Peninsular lunch. Lots of wine, meet people. Snooze, get ready for dinner. Eat. Sleep. Feel lucky to be still cruising.
  4. I do not like dining alone, so never use speciality restaurants. Fixed dining in MDR is much better for me.
  5. Laundry is best bet. Sometimes special offers. Not overly expensive.
  6. And the brunch. Bit over the top though!
  7. Never had a problem changing once on board. 2nd sitting is usually less popular. Go and see the Maitre D when you board.
  8. When I began cruising on Celebrity, all behind the scenes tours were free. Even got strawberries dipped in chocolate at end of galley tour. Tours on P&O pre covid were chargeable. No tours now. How things have changed.
  9. Funny isn't it how different people have such different experiences!
  10. Photographers were franchise and they all lost their jobs with covid.
  11. Ask someone to take some pics of you with your phone.
  12. No, thank goodness. None on Aurora last month either.
  13. Never seen queues on any ship at guest services on disembarkation day. Everyone intent on getting off the ship!
  14. On my 4th cruise this year. Fixed dining, no queues, no stress, phone switched off. Avoid mega ships. Problem easily solved for me personally.
  15. Not many tables for two. Maybe that's why they are queueing so they don't have to share and talk to anyone!
  16. Freedom MDR opens at 6. Queues start at 5.30 onwards. If you want early dining better to have fixed at 6.30. No queues for fixed dining.
  17. No pre booking required on Arcadia. Have heard no complaints about full venues. Unlike Iona and Arvia. The venues seem to cope with the amount of pax on board, as they always have done.
