On Arcadia at Xmas, the captain was mixing with passengers a lot. Small ship though, so easer to do.

Best to do fjords on small ships. They can actually dock!

I usually get put on a singles table for eight. We tend to change places each night which works well. Been lucky on the whole and only on a handful of times have I found it necessary to move. Have made some friends too.

Only way to decide which cruise company suits your needs is to try it.

Strange that I have a singe balcony booked on Aurora and it has twin beds that cannot be converted to one!?

On Celebrity once got a bottle of fizz and two glasses, plus voucher for dinner for two. Was traveling alone. Talk about rubbing it in!

And me. Small and friendly. On her next weekend and again in April and July. Expensive compared to the cheap new ships but worth it for me.

Never drunk tea in my life. Cannot even stand the smell. Much prefer coffee! -
Loved Riga. Like Tallinn on a grander scale. Skagen is lovely too. Wish they would do Frederica more. It is wonderful.

Lots of lovely destinations in the Baltic. Good to see them instead of the usual suspects for a change.

You can with Early Saver but it is not guaranteed. However, on the rare occasions I have booked Saver and not got my preferred dining I have been able to change it once on board. No problem.

Many dislike airports and flying and like sea days and longer cruises. Each to their own!

Done several Adriatic cruises from Southampton. Doing one from Southampton in May on Arcadia. No wish to fly.

Yes, of course you can use it. Just not necessary to take it and they prefer a card, particularly Denmark.
