  1. At present through to 30 April you either have the Deep Blue Extras or you don’t. There isn’t any tiers to the current extras, although there is three ways to “join” the sailing club. When they launch the full loyalty programme there might be other arrangements but we don’t know what they are yet.
  2. For Gunbae Korean BBQ the marinated beef short rib is excellent and the fried chicken appetiser is good, it’s quite possible to eat there and not have pork or seafood. Personally I’d rather go to Gunbae than the Wake for dinner, I preferred the marinated beef at Gunbae over the steak at the Wake.
  3. Check the touchscreen near the lift too, I’ve always got a notification of a major show moved venue so I expect the app and screen to be more accurate than the paper guide. Although the app does completely change when you connect to ship WiFi compared to before the cruise, so if you made notes from the agenda before boarding then disregard them and use the live agenda.
  4. assuming you haven’t booked the lock it in guarantee rate you should already know the cabin number.
  5. Most of the tables hold six or eight I think and they will generally seat four to six at a table. For those who really want to be on their own it is apparently possible to get seated as a two but mainly towards the end of the night.
  6. We got six cans in one order, I expect you could do more if you wanted too. Room service is $7 delivery unless you buy something with a charge like alcohol or premium coffee/juice. The room has two carafes of filtered water, you can ask for one or both to be sparkling water if you wish. Either ask the attendant when you see them or tap the water button in the app or the in room tablet. I don’t think they have any canned club soda onboard.
  7. Message them on Instagram and ask about what you are looking for.
  8. I think you were on the transatlantic too? They seemed to run out of Diet Coke syrup. Early on they prioritised having it at bars instead of the Galley but I noticed at the end the bars were pouring from cans too. I’m guessing with it being the last cruise of the season there was some stuff they had decided to just restock in Miami and post-mix syrup seemed to be one of them. It did seem a little odd the only iced tea was from the Nestle “juice” concentrate and it was definitely not sweet! I would have thought they might at least have a Coke brand like Gold Peak or even Fuze. Personally I’d also just like a wider range of sugar free soft drinks, even if it is just having Sprite Zero as well as Diet/Zero Coke.
  9. The main difference on Virgin I think is that soda is just free at all bars, so just walk up anywhere and ask for Coke, Diet Coke and Sprite. At the Galley there is three stations and they usually have Coke, Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Sprite, Orange Fanta and sometimes Seagrams Ginger Ale. Some stations might run out of stock of something so it won’t be on the screen. Then there is a juice from concentrate dispenser which often has more juice in the morning for breakfast (orange, apple, grapefruit etc). Then for lunch they will have ice tea and still lemonade on the juice dispenser.
  10. It could be because you are on WiFi it’s trying to take the location from there.
  11. only if the account is set up that way. If when doing check in on the app you select each person will pay it keeps two separate accounts. Need to select it during check in set up or go an d see Sailor Services. it’s nothing to worry about, but it’s possible to set the two seperate accounts without realising!
  12. When you do check in on the app there will be the option to select that one person is paying the bill for the whole cabin, select that you are paying and all charges goes to you. If you go over the bar tab and for items that aren’t drinks they then go to your credit cards. Or go to sailor services onboard and they can sort it.
  13. You can not wear PJs and go and party still. it’s a fun party playing more cheesy 90s style music.
  14. The curated meal is the one with the additional upcharge items, it specifically mentions the seafood tower and tomahawk steak but does state a custom birthday cake or similar would be provided. Personally I still don’t see the point spending $250 per cabin across two cabins when you can pick and choose a few extras yourselves for a lot less. Just for linking bookings you get a bottle of sparkling wine per cabin. So it’s only the $55 difference between St Louis and Moet you get for spending on the package, bottomless brunch is $25 per person normally. Then the most expensive add ins at the Wake are $70 and $65, plus drinks at that could be the equivalent of $30 per person maybe. So total value of the package is about $300, so maybe you save $50 IF you really wanted Moet, seafood AND a tomahawk steak. I bet you could have just a good time with friends without paying any extra over and above the standard food and spending more on drinks.
  15. from what I’ve seen discussed the add on at brunch is the bottomless drinks that are normally $25 per person and the dinner add ons are the seafood platter or similar that is usually an upcharge plus some drinks. I might be wrong but I don’t think there is anything truly new, just using existing add ons.
  16. We didn’t do the grog walk but easily were able to stay up, I’m 41 so neither old or young I guess. travelled to the ship, late lunch at the Dock while booking shows etc, chilled out and then did the muster point. Sailaway followed by a relaxed dinner and then chilled before changing for the PJ Party where we stayed out til late. I also stayed out for Heartbeat as I think it’s a really fun club night and of course for the Scarlet night party. Studio 72 doesn’t go quite as late as it’s last night but is worth arriving early for the 15 minute circus disco show that starts the party.
  17. That’s been available to book for a while. Not sure why anyone would, personally I can’t find the value in it.
  18. They don’t offer bottomless champagne for brunch. It’s a selection of cocktails, sparkling wine or beer. consider that the proper champagne is $95 a bottle and then bottomless drinks is $25!
  19. Virgin Voyages have moved away I think from the vegetarian-forward branding for Razzle Dazzle and now just call it their signature restaurant.
  20. It tells you at the end of the video what the muster station is I think. It’s also on the back of the cabin door. I would agree it is much easier to watch the video in your room, know where the muster point is and then go.
  21. in October 2022 and August 2022 we still had to do both, watch the video and then go to the muster point in person. Pretty certain there is a legal requirement.
  22. Brunch at the Wake does NOT have classic breakfast items, it’s steak and eggs, upscale Benedict’s and that sort of thing. quickest is just the Galley food court. Hot food can take a few minutes but you can walk up to counters and collect pastries, bagels and fruit to munch while you wait for the hot items to come out. But Razzle Dazzle will serve breakfast too if you want full service.
  23. Grog walk and similar are classed as box office so can’t come from bar tab.
  24. We did the westbound transatlantic last October and the sea days actually flew by. For me it was like going to a resort where you chill by the pool in the day and party a bit in the evening. enjoyed it so much we’ve booked to do this one in the opposite direction, although port stops in Europe are largely the same, just Palms de Mallorca instead of Ibiza.
  25. Anything under $25 per drink and two bottles a day under $90. https://help.virginvoyages.com/helpportal/s/searchresult?userInput=What's included in the Mega RockStar daily bar tab#reload the mini bar will be half bottles of spirits, wine, champagne and cans of beer.
