  1. There may be daily specials on the burger and diner counters although that’s more on Valiant Lady with the longer itineraries. But the ramen and taco counters generally don’t change their menu, it is just the three options all the time. The salad counter does allow build your own if you go up and there might also be specials on the bread counter if you walk up. Always worth a walk around the stations at lunch to see if there is anything not on the printed menu.
  2. Does sound like there was some unofficial swingers gathering on that particular cruise!
  3. I thought the marinated beef was good (the beef on its own, not as part of the mixed selection). The other meats aren’t really marinated but do come out good on the grill and you can decide if you want crispy pork belly etc. There are some dipping sauces. I also enjoyed the fried chicken and the bibimbap can be made fairly spicy. The seafood pancake is also nice. The meats are good, but the smaller dishes are also good too.
  4. There is a separate Sailing Club line. At Miami you can turn up at 1.30. Not sure about Barcelona.
  5. No, it is just a bar area. There are hot tubs as part of the athletic club at the rear of deck 16 (with showers next to them) and the pool, whirlpool, hot tubs and showers on deck 15. The hot tubs are often hotter than the air anyway so may not help cool you down!
  6. The photo only shows the can’t miss, it doesn’t list everything. The Around the World with the Diva show isn’t one of the major events really so it may appear later. It’s often the same day as the bingo. I’ve done a short cruise where they only did Untitled once so yes that is possible.
  7. I don’t see the issue with the choices not changing, it’s like being in a town, there are six restaurants and the majority of people eat at one per night plus there is the dinner show and other options so it’s only those on transatlantic or similar that are forced to dine from the same menu more than once. How often do big chain restaurants in cities change their menu? I don’t think it’s a major issue, I can certainly dine at Extra Virgin and similar on the ship and not feel I am forced to eat the same dish multiple times.
  8. It’s not agreeing with what you said. You can make one reservation per night and one per restaurant. So The Wake night one, Gunbae night two etc.
  9. You can make one reservation per night, not one for the whole trip! That can be done before boarding or more slots open up once onboard. Many posters on here have reported that they struggled with reservations before boarding but got them fine once on the ship. Personally I’ve always been fine both before boarding and on the ship and have eaten in a main restaurant most nights except for when we did Ship Show and one night when we stayed in port late so just got the beef sandwich. Has the menu changed from the one shown here? https://magical-traveller.com/virgin-voyages-menus#the-galley-menu The French toast burger on the burger counter is clearly breakfast only, but the all-day breakfast on the diner is all-day with the beef sandwich dinner only.
  10. The diner counter offers a fantastic steak sandwich during dinner hours only and the breakfast items should be available too. But reservations should be possible and if you are having difficulty go to sailer services or a restaurant host stand.
  11. There are two smoking areas, one outside on deck 16, on the opposite side to the sun club cafe, near Richard’s Rooftop and the fore stairs. The other is indoors between the casino and the Red Room.
  12. They are very popular though, the people who like sunbathing go for them and those spaces fill up quickly.
  13. If you mean the daybeds on the very edge of the pool they are just beds, mattress style with a slightly raised part at one end. But the standard loungers round the pool are standard recliners like you found round all hotel pools.
  14. We’ve booked Philippians Hotel for next month as it’s very close to the Acropolis and seems to be a good enough area, but not stayed there yet. https://www.philipposhotel.gr/en
  15. In a similar question on the VV subreddit someone has stated that drinks have recently increased in price with standard spirits and mixer now up to $9 (from $7) and Heineken beer at $6 (from $5). So bar tab won’t stretch as far with prices going up. But almost everything in the world has gone up in price over the last two years.
  16. Santorini and Mykonos are tender, Rhodes and Bodrum I don’t think are. if you look in the Shore strings excursions listing in the app it gives the option to pre-book morning tenders for ports that need them.
  17. The 10% off is a code that is sent by email, it can be used with current offers live at the time of booking including the pay in full discount. I’m sea-blazer and got the code yesterday.
  18. One way flights are significantly more expensive that returns, from UK to Miami a single can be double the cost of return. We use miles to book the one way flights.
  19. It’s very clear in those terms, it may not be combined with promotions. I don’t think they are giving you the runaround. You can either cancel and rebook at todays price with the extra 10% off or keep your existing booking.
  20. After, so you do two to qualify and get the perks on the third. Unless you sailed in 2021 when just one 2021 sailing is enough to get perks.
  21. They only add VAT or sales tax when in that countries waters. So once out in international waters there is no tax, but when in port there might be tax. There is sales tax at the beach club at Bimini too.
  22. Although it wasn’t anything to do with pandemic as to why it stopped, we cooked for ourselves in the first cruises Virgin did in August 2021.
  23. to check, do you mean Brilliant Lady as that ship was planned to do San Juan to Lisbon in 2024? I thought Resilient Lady was always Greece and Australia.
  24. Another Rose is the only main show being charged for, it’s a dinner show and might include drinks (I don’t trust that I was given the right information). I think it’s very bad of Virgin to advertise that entertainment is all included and we have a “ticket to all their shows” on the website without making it clear the headline show on Resilient Lady is an additional cost.
  25. You can’t be Sea-Blazer and Sea-Rover as the Sea-Blazer benefit is better. We’ve got $125 bonus bar tab for life as Sea-Blazer, Sea-Rover only gets the bonus for two years. when the new loyalty program comes in sometime this year it will be based on amount spent so if you have done a lot of sailings you should get better benefits once the full Sailing Club launches.
