  1. 9378 is a standard sea view, if you want a balcony you need a sea terrace room. Other than that the rooms are roughly the same size. The sea view rooms are either in the front of the ship like this one or down on deck 5. https://www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/deckplans/deckbydeck.php?ship=Scarlet-Lady&deck=9 bar tab can be used for all drinks, hot, premium soft, wine, beer, cocktails.
  2. When they collected the bands as we exited I noticed they were putting them directly into net bags like you would use for washing small items.
  3. You can carry on two bottles of wine per cabin in your carry-on luggage. same as most other lines, they might charge corkage if you bring your own bottle to dinner. https://help.virginvoyages.com/helpportal/s/searchresult?userInput=Can I bring my own wine to dinner#reload I think all the wine I had was good it’s quite affordable by the glass too, most are $7-12 but there might be a few high end options too. Virgin include gratuity in the initial fare, so you don’t need to add the 18% on drinks either. there is no drink packages, but currently with the special offer you get $300/600 to spend on drinks. If you need more, or there is no free bar tab on your cruise, you can buy bar tab. If you pre-pay $300 you get a bonus $50. Bar tab is non-refundable but can be spent on any drinks. you don’t have to pre-pay drinks, if you don’t have bar tab then your credit card is charged on the last night.
  4. I hardly had any issues, a standard vodka and Sprite was always $7 with Absolut vodka. Once the bartender used Tito’s instead and charged $9 but I accepted I just said vodka and technically that’s what I got, so I changed to asking specifically for Absolut. If I wanted rum I asked for Barcardi and pineapple juice and that was always $7. When ordering cocktails we usually ordered from the menu, but did get Espresso martini from Sip and I think that was always $10 or $11. Didn’t go off-menu otherwise. If you are worried about costs then I would ask first and then to keep it predictable always specify the brand of spirit you want served.
  5. Currency onboard is US dollars and they charge your credit card in dollars on the last night so you might want a card with no foreign fees. this site has some menus, but things might have changed. https://profcruise.com/virgin-voyages-bar-menus-and-drink-prices/ https://profcruise.com/virgin-voyages-restaurant-menus-2022/ Standard drinks like vodka/coke and gin/tonic aren’t on menus but are $7 for standard spirits (Absolut is the house vodka) and then $9+ for other premium spirits.
  6. The information is here https://www.virginvoyages.com/sailing-club but unless you are on a cruise next week it’s irrelevant as the current extras only apply through to 30 April. No one yet knows what the loyalty scheme will be in May onward.
  7. According to this listing Scarlet Lady still has Heartbeat not WeFancy https://www.virginvoyages.com/l/entertainment-2023 friendship bracelets would be summer camp crafts which might be offered as a daytime activity on sea days, but I’m not sure if it’s on all ships. We did it on Valiants transatlantic last year.
  8. Scarlet is in Miami summer 2023 and Barcelona summer 2024.
  9. The prices seemed the same in all bars for the same drink in our experience, $7 for Absolut, $9 for Tito’s. for most spirits there seemed to be $7/9/10/13 options Although I’ve read reports of prices going up recently, for example someone said the pairings at Test Kitchen are now $40 instead of $35. but these menus should give an idea of the sort of prices, even if they do change slightly https://profcruise.com/virgin-voyages-restaurant-menus-2022/ https://profcruise.com/virgin-voyages-bar-menus-and-drink-prices/ You can see the receipts in the app, go to wallet (once onboard) then click on the transaction to see the full receipt. Can also see the full folio as a PDF and that shows bar tab remaining (non-refundable credit). It will get emailed after you leave the ship too.
  10. I’ve just the online chat twice this month and once I did get stuck at second in the queue, but tried again and got straight through okay. The other time I was straight through. but this was at 11am or 12noon BST, which is 6-7am EST so they are likely much quieter as many people in the US aren’t awake yet.
  11. I’m guessing it depends on how many passengers are onboard, we’ve turned up early to reservations and been seated immediately as normal. Only place we’ve ever had a delay and had to wait for a table is the Wake and we turned up at the correct time.
  12. Although that transatlantic for Brilliant was on sale for probably at least 5-6 months so the plan to move the ship to Europe alongside Scarlet was formed a while back. Which is why is disappearing is strange.
  13. As far as we know yes. The deck plan for Resilient Lady is the same as Scarlet and Valiant so it’s assumed Brilliant will be the same. Resilient Lady does have almost all new entertainment though.
  14. That depends if Scarlet goes into dry dock as above at the end of the summer season or not. If the ship doesn’t then I agree it will do a westbound transatlantic. Otherwise I expect Brilliant to come back to Miami or San Juan again.
  15. Scarlet Lady is doing the summer season in Barcelona next year, Valiant is staying in Miami all summer. Some people think Scarlet might stay in Europe for maintenance, so if there is a transatlantic next October/November 2024 it will be Brilliant Lady.
  16. I must admit I hadn’t looked for the Brilliant Lady summer 2024 season in the last week or two but a month ago they weren’t there. if they went on sale for a couple of days then were pulled it does seem like an error and were released too early as there wasn’t any other announcement. I doubt the ship is going to be delayed as the Christmas sailing and the San Juan itineraries are still on sale. why the transatlantic was taken off sale is a mystery still though!
  17. We stayed at Yotel Downtown Miami YOTEL Miami | Downtown hotel | Bayfront views | YOTEL Rooms are modern but sparse and a bit basic, but fine for one night before a cruise. Walking distance to Bayside mall for shopping and there are a few bars and restaurants in the downtown area too. Can even walk all the way to the Brickell Mall for a longer Sunday morning stroll before the cruise. Lyft was under $10 from the hotel to Terminal V.
  18. I’ve never made it, but I think it’s just walk-in no need to book at all. It counts as an activity not as a dinner reservation though
  19. If you haven't already done so, it might be good to leave a review on the main site Write a review - Cruise Critic
  20. PJ party! Pizza! The slow section of UntitledDanceShow. Social club games and arcade.
  21. XL rooms on the 14th floor are fine for noise, you’ll be below the mega rockstar suites, but check on cruise deck plans to see. If you want a specific room then you need to call and book or go via a travel agent who can select a specific room. Bear in mind a few XL rooms towards the front don’t have hammocks. At the Bimini beach club all purchases get charged to your room account so yes drinks come from bar tab.
  22. If you want the transatlantic might be worth calling and asking or seeing if a travel agent can still book it.
  23. The summer season for Brilliant Lady has never been announced. Only the transatlantic has been taken off sale, anything beyond that was never published. I’m expecting they would announce in the next month or so the summer 2024 itineraries for Brilliant and maybe the winter 2024 for Valiant too.
  24. You can be 15 minutes early or late to dinner reservations usually and often more than that and they will seat you if possible. If you want three courses allow 90minutes for dinner in most places, a little more in Test Kitchen and Gunbae. If you want to play bingo arrive 30 minutes before show time, card sales end 15 minutes before. For all other shows 15 minutes before is plenty. If you are late to Red Room shows you might be able to sit on the deck 7 balcony if there is space. UntitledDanceParty is standing so latecomers are usually fine. for the It’s a Ship Show dinner show I suggest arriving half hour early to get a good table.
