  1. CORECTION to my last two sentences, I have 3 more Celebrity cruises booked. I'm hoping I DO NOT have to cancel them while on my March 2024 cruise.... My lack of writing skills is why I wont do a "live" while on the cruise. I thank those who do "lives" as they have helped me plan.
  2. I'm in my mid-40's and have been a total of six cruises starting in 2019 with NCL. It was an older ship, but had a great time and booked future cruise on board. The future cruise was on NCL's newest at the time Encore. As fast as I fell in love with NCL, I just quickly fell out of love. I guess I chalk it up to being oblivious, and happy to be on vacation. The Encore cruise for me was the end for NCL. Nickle and dime for everything, poorly trained staff on the new ship, bad dinning experiences.... I then booked a cruise for a brand new ship Celebrity Apex, covid delayed that cruise until March 2022. I absolutely fell in love with Celebrity Apex, Then onto Beyond last January, as many you are aware Celebrity's brilliant cut-backs started. The OVC was decimated on that cruise, over half the stations were not serving it was bad. The specialties were still great however, my main complain (not Celebrity's fault) was the other passengers. It was a floating home, and they were grumpy. Note to self, never go on a January cruise again. Next up was Virgin Voyages, all I have to say is the other lines better step it up, and the no kids was very noticeable. Kids don't normally bother me, so didn't think much of it, until it hits you. There are ZERO kids on this cruise, it was great. This March 2024 I have a 10 day on Beyond, I understand there maybe more old folks on these longer cruise, but hopefully it will be fun. I have 3 more cruises booked with Celebrity, I'm hoping I'm cancelling them on this March cruise. Fingers crossed, but it is vacation and I WILL enjoy myself.
  3. Should be fine. I had a 2:30pm flight out of BCN. I did not get off the ship until 10am and sat in the airport for 3+ hours...
  4. Royal Caribbean put a bunch of the IV cabins on their brand new Icon of the Seas. After six years of feedback from X Edge, if they were so horrible it's doubtful Royal would have put them on their newest ship.
  5. Thanks, plan to go to Coco beach club, near Orient beach in March. Can't wait 🥂
  6. Is this complaint from a cruise over 1 year ago?
  7. Agree, if I listened to all the whining on CC, I would have been on 1 cruise. The whining almost caused me to cancel a cruise, glad I did not. I take everything on here with a grain of salt. I've been on Beyond and Apex and had zero noise issues in the cabins I was in. I'm not saying a huge ocean liner isn't going to make noise, just not my experience. 🥂
  8. The only true casino in the USVI is on St Croix.
  9. That's what I'd recommend, get a cabana and take turns between 4-5 loungers and the cabana. Or two cabanas and "sneak" the 9th person into one of them. You get a bottle of booze, 6 beers, 4 waters and lunch per cabana.
  10. The "refundable" usually adds hundreds if not over $1000 to make it refundable, but not always. I would only book refundable if it was about $200 more. Why pay $1000 more for a cruise to potentially get your $900 deposit back? I don't see the logic unless you are more than likely to cancel, if that's the case why even book it?
  11. There was an everyday specialty dining package available for my upcoming cruise that was 40% off at one point. I was so tempted because it was a great value, but I already had a few reservations at the day and time I wanted, and because you can’t book these packages until on board I decided to pass.
  12. On the E-class ships they set up a court in the rooftop garden area.
  13. Correct, I ordered for my upcoming cruise in March.
  14. As you can see they now offer 12 one litre bottles of warm water in your cabin for a fee.
  15. It is new, I ordered it for my upcoming March cruise on Beyond. I had some OBC to burn so figured why not. On past X cruises, I felt like I had to order water all day on sea days to have enough to take on excursions, so this will eliminate that "problem" I seem to encounter. 😂🥂
  16. I was in 11272 on Apex, no noise issues. The people in the cabins above can only see you if you are close to the railing/end of the balcony.
  17. I watched this before I got on Valiant Lady in the Med. typical TV drama... What I remember most about the show was the captain asking the engineers if they could crank up the engines to produce more electricity to get the ship moving faster to make a port on time, I thought that was interesting. Anyhoo
  18. I really enjoyed my test kitchen experience, I did think drowning the steak in chocolate was strange, but it worked. Will I drown my steak at home with chocolate? Never, but again it worked. My biggest complaint was the drink pairings. For the cost I was expecting more than shot size drinks. 🥂
  19. Glad to hear you got off the ship in a timely manner and made a 9:40 flight. I have a 10:45 flight and my traveling party is very concerned, I told them we will make it with plenty of time, but they don't seam to believe me, I'm taking a screen shot to prove I'm correct (as usual 😄) Thanks!!
  20. The Rhino Rider company no longer works with the broker who works with the cruise lines, that is why it was cancelled. They are open for business directly through them...
  21. Celebrity blamed it on the operator, so I'd assume it is something to do with them?
  22. My Rhino Rider excursion booked through Celebrity was just cancelled on me, so gotta find different plan. 😞
