  1. I don’t disagree….IMO the best cabins, other than a Suite, is a SS veranda and that’s what I’m currently booked in… IMO the “worst” suite is deck 6 MCSS….and I’m willing to move-up!!
  2. Let us/me know your thoughts about your move-up from a SS Veranda after your cruise. Assuming its soon, I depart in March.
  3. Enjoy, I assume you were not originally in a suite, great upgrade!! I also have put in a move-up offer for my upcoming sailing, I understand the potential regret. I'm in a Sunset veranda on Beyond and love aft cabins, I have taken everything into consideration (deck 6 Magic Carpet SS) I don't think I'd ever pay $10K plus on that, but for a 10 day cruise I'm willing to make some sacrifices to enjoy the Retreat and that includes getting stuck on deck 6 MCSS. 😂
  4. I always book and pay for the excursions I may be interested in, if a sale, or I change my mind I simply cancel and get refunded. Same with specialty dining... I like to plan my cruise, so booking or canceling excursions on the ship isn't really my style.
  5. My Beyond sailing departs in about 60 days, it is completely sold out as of this morning, other than........The Retreat. I count over 21 available suits for this sailing, most are SS and MC Suites. This seems opposite of my other E-class sailing I've been on, were the suits were usually first to sell out. I wonder if the butler situation has anything to do with this? Hopefully this helps my move-up opportunity!!
  6. Just an observation I had. I personally don't see much Celebrity ads period, let alone during sports...
  7. I booked a 6 day Caribbean SS veranda on Beyond this July as a solo, I booked this around Nov. 2023…. The price for two with AI was reasonable and the price for solo without AI was great IMO. To add AI for the solo was more than the AI for two, so I obviously booked cruise only and will add what I need separately and save thousands.
  8. I love your reviews, you definitely help my planning! Thanks!! I guess I lose my sunshine and rainbows glasses when on CC.
  9. The desire to whine and b***h about virtually everything is almost a requirement. 😂 When I first started on here, I came so close to canceling my second ever cruise. Thankfully I didn’t and take what I need from here to help plan my vacations.
  10. That’s exactly what I did when staying on the island BYOB. Not exactly the easiest if you’re there for the day on a cruise ship. Can be done. Walk off the ship with cooler, somehow find a place selling beer and ice…get a cab to the beach. Again, sounds easy, but…
  11. I do not think this is a "live" review. Pretty sure they have been off the ship for a week, as Apex just left Port Everglades a few minuets ago.
  12. I've only been on E-class, so can't compare, but I highly recommend Rooftop grill. My best meal on Beyond in Jan 2023.
  13. I am so torn on this. I have a decent amount of specialty dinning booked at good times for me and all purchased during "flash sales" My issue is scrambling on embarkation to book 10 nights of dinning at decent times. Basically I'd get 3 more nights and 4 sea day lunches for about $200 more than I already paid.
  14. Virgin solo cabins are inside cabins, same as NCL, not for me....
  15. I was on a Med cruise this summer on VV as a solo, and there little to no solo events. Other than meeting people at the blackjack table, I probably would have never meet anyone. Still had an enjoyable experience and cruise, just my two useless cents...
  16. Only you can answer that. Do you like your current stateroom? Do you want to spend the extra money? You may find out two days before sailing your cabin changed...are you ok with that? It's a personal/financial decision only you can make.
  17. Interesting, a high temp broiler is something I assumed was already in a cruise ship kitchen.
  18. The review I have been waiting for!!! I watched Beyond's first Ultimate Southern Caribbean sail away knowing I'm doing this long awaited cruise in March. Thanks so much KKB for the review. I was on Beyond in Jan so familiar with the ship, glad you enjoyed your vacation. Thanks again!
  19. I was on Apex in March 2022 7 days Caribbean. Paid $2650 TOTAL Sunset Veranda Prem everything, tips and $400 OBC I understand I will probably never see that again
  20. All perception. I booked a 10 day cruise in June 2022 on an E-class for March 2024. I paid about $2900pp in a Sunset Veranda prem. bev. prem. wifi and $800 obc. My parents booked the same cruise about a month ago, IV cabin base fare $2250pp w/o grats. they bought the prem. bev during a sale for $600pp w/grats. They will not use wifi so they are not spending the money on it. We both feel like we got a decent deal, but did we really?? At the end of day we both feel like we got a "good" deal and that is all that matters. Can't wait for March!!!
  21. The cabin steward will clean your cabin once a day, reducing cleaning products...and you get 3 additional club points. I've done it twice and noticed zero difference.
  22. Go to the Celebrity website and it’s under the “manage reservation” section, klick on the “upgrade with move up”. Enter the bookers last name and booking number and if available the options will show up. Nothing is going to be available until at least 90 days to sailing. Mine wasn’t available until 81 days to sailing…
