@scottraveller, just a heads up there is a strike by multiple unions and a few flight crews, to take place at Italian airports on June 4. It was to have taken place on Friday 19 May, but was pushed to 4 June due to the flooding. We’ve been following the strike news, as we are flying from US on 3 June, to arrive in Italy on June 4. Good luck with all your travel planning. @2catsand2kids, saw you are also flying June 4.

We fly into Venice in 2 weeks, so had been looking at weather and forecast Praying for all the impacted residents! Flooding anywhere is awful!

So looking forward to our pre-cruise visit to Italy, and our 7-day cruise! @Mr. Boston, I have an Expedition cruise in September that ends in Boston! Halifax, NS to Boston, History, Seafood and Nature Reserves. @kazu, it happened to me also! CC was either cloning our posts, or read that today is Pack Rat day, and decided we needed to hoard our own posts, 😂. I was able to delete the contents of all but one clone. Wish I’d thought to report them instead. have a good day!

Wish I could send you some of our warmth! it’s a mild 70 degrees to start the morning here in SE Texas, Supposed to reach 88 this afternoon. The neighbor dogs 🐶 🐕 woke our Brutus and Jacks up at 4:15 this morning. Ugh. They have been snoozing 💤 on the couch while I enjoy coffee with the Daily and Wordle. Anyone else Wordle fanatics? We have a siblings iMessage thread. Every morning we each report the number of tries it took to reach the solution. Once we all report in, we post a photo of our solutions. It’s fun to see the different ways we used to reach the same goal, it’s a fun way to stay in touch with the family, as we are spread out across the country, have a wonderful day, everyone! Calendar updated with all our excursions, and entertainment days and times showing. I wasn’t expecting to see anything, boarding in Rome instead of Barcelona.

For those that wanted to try an Expedition ship, I stumbled upon solo deals, all inclusive - including an excursion in every port, Wi-Fi, wine/beer with meals, laundry, gratuities, and no supplement on Hurtigruten Expeditions. There are a number of solo voyages for booking through end of This month. The Ship, Ronald Amundsen, is only 2 years old, Even has an infinity pool and hot tub on deck! That was a surprise. There were a variety of cabin categories when I booked - solo rate starting from $1900 for OV, $2300 balcony, and Suite starting at $2700 and up. (Suites also get to dine all meals in Specialty restaurant). This is a small ship, just 600 pax. What I thought was interesting is that one deck on the ship is a scientific lab. This cruise fit my budget, considering all inclusive including excursions and gratuities. I’d love to do a Galapagos one day.
