  1. @cruising sister, what a kind thing to do. Have a wonderful day
  2. Welcome to the thread. I’m fairly new to the Daily, and tell you this is such a welcoming, encouraging group! I like starting my day with the Daily and ☕️
  3. Thanks for the Daily, Fleet report, Food, drinks & care list, and Port photos! I want to try the dinner packets, especially with chicken instead of salmon. Thunderstorms with cracking lighting and deep booming thunder woke me (and the dogs) this morning. Our dachshund scampers into DD’s bed every time it storms, and this morning was the same. Laundry is multiple days in a week. Taxes done last month. Venice - I love that someone said they visit Venice in their dreams! We had plans to sail out of Venice a few years ago but we all know what happened … Not to be. We are flying into Venice in June for a short Italy visit before cruising from (Symphony of the Seas) and flying back home from Rome. I can’t wait, especially after seeing Sandi’s @StLouisCruisers photos! Bon Voyage for those sailing from Florida, we all were cheering on every one of you hoping you (and your luggage made it safely, if any of you Dailyites from Florida were impacted by the flooding, I hope you and your property are safe. 🙏🏻 Prayers also for all in need, and cheers and smiles to those celebrating and sailing. Have a wonderful Saturday, everyone.
  4. That must have been so painful for the little guy! Glad you are all home and he’s healing well. 🙏🏻
  5. Thank you for updating. This is good news. Hope in time memories will bring you comfort. 🙏🏻
  6. Good luck with the suitcase!. So glad you landed in Florida safely
  7. I’ve booked it for 3 for June 15 departure this year. Will come back to update the thread for you.

  9. Happy Saturday everyone! To go with National Zoo day, the Houston Zoo has had their grand opening of their new Galapagos Island animal exhibit his week. I can’t wait to visit it! https://www.houstonzoo.org/explore/exhibits/galapagos/ Happy birthday Sandi and twin Linda Happy Anniversary Fred and Mitzi, Thanks to all who keep our Daily thread going ! Prayers for those in need, and smiles and cheers for those with good news.
  10. I really Do understand. It is pricey - I have an EE Oceanview also. What attracted me to this itinerary are the combination of the Sea of Cortez ports, (Loreto, La Paz), along with the ports of Manzanillo, Huatulco and Zihuatanejo. These are all new to me. And the added bonus of the Eclipse at sea. I considered canceling (several times) due to the cost, but being able to attend the Astronomy conference onboard helped seal the deal. It’s a unique experience for me. Had it just been a normal 14 day cruise, I may have passed on it. We’ll miss you and your wife on our small roll call. Hope to meet you on a cruise one day !
  11. you had me worried - I’m booked in a deck 6 balcony, thought I’d be required to jog all the way to my cabin and back ! 😂 would not be a pretty sight. just looked at a video - thankfully it’s on deck 5. Wow, looks wonderful!
  12. thanks for the Daily, I smiled reading National Dandelion Day. Brings back memories of twisting stems together to make dandelion necklaces when I was young. The quote made me laugh. Thank goodness the ships’ crews don’t feel that way about any of us! Hope everyone has a safe and happy day.
  13. Sorry you canceled. I understand, I was taken aback at the cost for my outside cabin, but it has a great itinerary with ports I hadn’t been to before. Plus I’ve signed up for the conference speakers (Astronomers and Astronauts). I decided that for me - I could justify the price for the unique itinerary, the Total eclipse at sea, and the Astronomy conference. We’ll miss you!
  14. That’s much easier then. Birth certificates for all.
  15. You may already know this, if your daughter’s last name on her drivers license Differs from her Birth Certificate, she would need a bridging document.
  16. My thanks to them also, and also you, Sandi @StLouisCruisers. You’re all bright lights who help us start out days in a positive way! Also thanks to Roy @rafinmd and Rich @richwmn too!
  17. @dfish, your menus are amazing. When I first heard Cod again, all I could think of was creamed cod we had to eat as kids. We ate it a lot. With tiny little bones. Ugh. It had no taste to me. Then I read your comments on the benefits of Cod, and saw how beautifully it can be prepared. Thanks for that! You may have converted me. Appreciate all that you do for us.
