Just booked Princess yesterday for Panama Canal in January with a TA. Saved over $600 by booking with them got to pick my cabin, OBC and red wine. Pretty sure it was a group rate.

I did not although thought about it but didn't make financial sense for me. The basic package is $60 per day which includes wifi, drinks and gratuities. I get wifi at half off with my status and will pay for the gratuities. I bring my own wine from cabin to dinner so no issue there. If I want a cocktail or Martini its still cheaper to pay for it. No interest in fitness classes or specialty dining.

I also booked a Princess cruise today for January 2024. Was on the Sky this past January. I turned Elite plus on my 15 night TA on the Apex this past May and haven't even used the perks although I'll be on the Silhouette in November. Just finding Celebrity can't compete on pricing on several itineraries.

Never been in a suite but its a navy key chain with X logo and Celebrity cruises on it. The card holder is grey which I use for my cards on excursions.

Don't understand that either. An 8 year old is too young to look after themself let alone younger siblings.

Yeah its a pretty crappy key chain which I've never used. The card holder is not so bad.

I once got a Celebrity key chain and credit card holder with my navy bag.

I use them for beach and pool then leave them in the cabin. Don't need any more shopping bags at home.

I've been able to do that as well although one agent said once assigned you have to pay to make a change. Not true at all.

I've had cabin assignments within 24 hours of booking but its been several years since then. On my cruise next month I booked mid May and cabin was assigned last week for August 19th cruise same day as I got my luggage tags and edocs. It may also be assigned at the pier.

Yep taking 11 yo grandson for a 7 night Western Caribbean. Not sure how they switched me to GTY balcony when I paid for inside but didn't ask???? I got cabin assignment a few days ago then they upgraded to higher deck. Spacious ocean view balcony so don't know if cabin is larger or deck.

I've asked cabin attendant but been hit and miss plus I like the large red wine glasses so just before retiring for the night I get a couple from a bar. Never been an issue. Use them next evening.

I was able to do it for my RCI cruise next month. Paid for inside GTY. They upgraded me to GTY balcony and was assigned a spacious OV on deck 6 a few days ago. I actually called for another reason and mentioned cabin location and was upgraded to deck 8 so apparently can be done.

Just looked it up on sale for $13.85 CAD. I'll let you know when I try it.

I've been on the Edge and Apex and beds are huge and very comfortable. Enjoyed lying in bed at night watching movies.

Never tried Portuguese wines but will have to look for this one. Great price point.

I was on the sky princess earlier this year and found the food quality equal on both lines. Princess is also about half the cost of the same cruise on Celebrity. Their prices have gotten out of hand for many cruisers.

1. $80 in a store 2. $ 0 at a restaurant 3. $ 0 on a cruise ship.

And sometimes the window doesn't open especially in inclement weather. Would never book one I still love traditional balconies.

I do the same but now only purchase delisted wines at 20 to 30% off. The most I'll spend is $80 for a $100 bottle of wine.

I live close to the Niagara wine region and have some excellent wine insulated bags. Packed with clothing around seemed to do the trick. But yes I was nervous and enjoyed the 🍾 champagne even more. Opened for DH's birthday last month.

Bo, I was gifted a bottle of Veuve Cliquot onboard my recent TA in May. Last night of cruise packed it in a wine bag put between clothes in my case. Picked up next morning at Rotterdam terminal while walking to taxi to take to Amsterdam I tripped and case fell over. Panic attack. Hauled into taxi enroute Amsterdam with others peoples luggage. Up and down several flights of stairs in hotel plus 2 flight connections back to Toronto Canada. Survived thousands of miles of traveling.

Freemark Abbey. I decant for about an hour. Austin Hope from Paso Robles. Also Auros from Napa. All wonderful cabs.

Freemark Abbey cabernet was on the Equinox last fall. They gifted me 2 bottles in my cabin one of which I brought home.
