  1. I saw you at the slot pull on Apex on our TA but you were speaking with someone so didn't interrupt. That was a great cruise
  2. I guess I'm spoiled; still prefer the cakes and pastries I get in Amsterdam when I visit my son each summer
  3. Years ago they served a great carrot cake and German chocolate cake but not any longer the current carrot cake is not as tasty probably using lower quality ingredients
  4. I rarely get dessert at MDR prefer something small from El Bacio
  5. Love those lemon tarts. Take a few to my balcony for a mid afternoon snack
  6. I only upgrade to Concierge if the price drops to what I pay for a balcony except for last year on the Eqjinox it cost .me another $100 or so for the 10 nights but I got a Concierge SV. Was wonderful.
  7. Good for extra club points if you need to get to the next level
  8. That is the Whispering Angel I bought here in Canada for about $30 which is about right with the FX rate. Didn't think worth the money so never purchased again. Many rose wines from Provence as good at better price points. Both Elegance wines are good I believe they are medium bodied
  9. Didn't care for the cherry pie. The cherry tart pinot was good but replaced post covid.
  10. Both the Elegance Pinot and cab made by Kendall Jackson are very good although the pinot is slightly better. I get 2 bottles of cab gifted onboard which I'll take to the MDR and order the Elegance with my lunch.
  11. I was first introduced to villa Maria a couple years ago when I had the premium package. Enjoyed it very much and bought six bottles at my wine store when they cleared them out. Recently found cloudy bay also a great SV from New Zealand and will bring it onboard as my 1 bottle allotment later this month. Plan to enjoy on my balcony.
  12. I just bought 2 bottles of 7 deadly cabs on clearance at my local store. Great cab from Lodi at a good price
  13. I'm curious to see what the credit on the bubbly is worth as they buy them dirt cheap
  14. If you have room bring it hone and use for an aperol spritzer.
  15. I never did believe that excuse. How come we get great wines in Canada both pre and post covid.
  16. They are good if you are making mimosas for the balcony
  17. Love Freemark Abbey and was gifted 2 bottles in my cabin last September one of which I brought home with me. They were a 2018 vintage not sure if it matters. I grab them when I rarely find on sale here in Canada πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦
  18. Me too I have a large amount of obc to use on my Silhouette cruise in November and was planning to try some pricier wines by the glass.
  19. I opened a bottle of 7 deadly cabs from Lodi last night to drink with dinner. Found them on clearance at my local store. Unfortunately only bought 2 bottles but what a fabulous wine for the price point.
  20. I requested an Italian wine to go with a veal dish I ordered and was told he couldn't since he didn't Ike Italian wines but I don't think he was a sommelier. πŸ˜†
  21. I got mine and I'm Elite plus anyway. Will never make it to Zenith and probably wouldn't know even if I did. πŸ˜†
  22. He's a Celebrity vacation planner based in Miami hopefully still around as I read of some layoffs
  23. It comes directly from Celebrity shoreside. The card said Caymus and one other great cab can't recall the name but they substituted caymus with another bottle so when I called they sent me a freemark abbey and told me to keep all 3. I did offer to exchange one but they said no need.
  24. I do it all the time and never had an issue although I enjoy taking the bottles they gift me to the MDR. I once had a table mate ask me if he could try my wine. πŸ˜†
  25. I always get 2 fairly pricey bottles of red cab in my cabin on embarkation day along with a card and those bottles are taken to dinner. The 1 bottle I bring onboard I drink in the cabin or take a glass to lunch.
