  1. The email says sunset verandah stateroom from $225 per person but when I click on the request upgrade button slider now says minimum bid is $505 per person so seems to have changed again. I checked the inventory and don't even see any SV cabins available.
  2. The minimum bid is $510 pp for an SV on the Beyond. Currently I have an inside cabin. Is this a good price? It would be several thousand more if I upgraded on the website.
  3. Thank you. Wishing you both a very Merry Christmas..
  4. Did you win the bid? I have an inside deluxe which was expensive enough as a solo probably because its the Beyond.
  5. I am wanting to bid on an SV minimum is $225 per person but slider says $560 per person so over 1K. Too much for me as a single traveler.
  6. Unsure about how this works. Today I received a move up bid for various categories with a starting bid on each category but when I click on each one the blue slider has a higher price. Does that mean I have to bid more than the slider amount? Sailing solo so I realize its x2 which is fine but I'm afraid of overbidding. No experience with this and my CVP is on holiday till the New Year. Merry Christmas to all!
  7. The best I've had is at the bar at Pulitzer hotel in Amsterdam. Tried it with Campari but not as good.
  8. Especially when the pours are no more than a half ounce and lots of soda water. I use either perrier or san pellegrino.
  9. Don't like them on the cruise ships especially in small plastic glasses and too much ice. They tasted very watered down.
  10. Aperol Spritzers are my go to summer cocktail nice and refreshing with an orange wheel and topped with sparkling water however, I thought it was on the premium package. They make them very weak on all the cruise ships, taste nothing like what I make at home.
  11. I love Pinot noirs from the Willamette Valley in Oregon
  12. No Decoy not great but drinkable and honestly it was more about the entire dinner experience. I was at a table with 5 other solos so I guess it was about the ambiance and company plus the fact it was a free bottle I was able to switch the 2nd bottle of Decoy for Beringer Knights valley would have preferred Freemark Abbey but they wouldn't give it to me. I tried. 😆 🤣
  13. I got 15 off at sushi on 5 which was a nice surprise
  14. While I enjoyed the free bottle of Decoy on my cruise in November I'd never buy it for $40 cad. BTW: A bottle onboard sells for $62 US plus gratuities.
  15. I love Elite plus. Had lots of specialty teas and coffee from El bacio plus discounted pricing at sushi on 5.
  16. Oh God yes. Yes. The last time I had premium package was drinks up to $15. I ordered the 25th Anniversary martini priced at $16. She brought me a slip for $1.20. Blown away but the law is the law.
  17. Thats why I prefer to bring wines from home in my luggage or take the ones I get onboard to the MDR. In all my Celebrity cruises I've bought the AI package twice.
  18. Thank you. I was on the Sky Princess this past January booked an inside but was upgraded to a balcony. This cruise is 10 day Panama Costa Rica on Ruby Princess. Love their aft pools.
  19. Doing a princess cruise next month as was half the price of Celebrity same week and itinerary.
  20. I'm the one who always got the lump of coal in my stocking. 👿
  21. Agree about prine rib. Beef wellington served on last night wasn't bad but after eating the lobster I couldn't finish it. Also had beef bourginon midway through the cruise but returned as on the tough side. That was the only 3 meat dishes I had on a 10 night cruise. Potato gnocchi was tasty but not creamy enough. They do a great job of the Indian food
