  1. I always thought quarantine cabins were not inside cabins and close to the medical centre. My original inside was deck 10. Whatever the reason for the upgrade it was very unexpected.
  2. I was recently on an 11 night cruise on the Eclipse to Hawaii a and booked an inside cabin. Shortly after I got to my cabin my attendant came in to say I was being moved but did not know why. Apparently guest relations moved me to a balcony great unobstructed view on deck 10 at no additional charge. First time its happened to me.
  3. Concierge is great when its a free upgrade from an obstructed balcony. 2x I've been upgraded and upcoming sailing was very little more money.
  4. I've never found it crowded on any day. I always go as soon as open
  5. Aqua spa cafe has a very limited menu. Only 1 type of soup the entire cruise and no salmon or chicken cooked to order like years gone by. Also there is no variation in their entrees. Its ok if you just want a light lunch.
  6. Sushi on 5 is great. Affordable prices and tasty food.
  7. On both my last two bookings concierge dropped very close to sail date and I had an obstructed balcony on deck 6. Had made final payment so they just moved me up to concierge at no additional charge. Can't remember the exact cost but difference was minimal. On my upcoming September 26 10 night sailing it worked out to 10 bucks a night more from a 2D obstruction to a C1.
  8. I love deck 10 as close to pool where I spend my sea days also don't do elevators prefer stairs.
  9. @C4HCG My original cabin was an obstructed balcony on deck 6 then a few days later a cabin on the wake C1 category on deck 10 opened up for next to nothing so grabbed immediately as the last sunset view and I like that there are balconies above me. Also the fact that I'm 100 points away from Elite plus.
  10. If the price is right I would do concierge but only if slightly more than a balcony.
  11. I bought a shore excursion for upcoming cruise and by error went to my credit card so cancelled and repurchased using obc. Refund showed up in 3 days. You have to be so careful as I was using my phone to purchase and check box was very small.
  12. I enjoy an Aspen coffee at Cafe El Bacio and noted on my recent Eclipse cruise a couple of the staff were using steamed milk in place of whipped cream for the topping. They had to make new ones. What a waste.
  13. I thought the towels were better quality?
  14. Can't say I've ever had a bad experience on celebrity if there's an issue guest relations has quickly rectified it.
  15. In my case I've always been seated with others usually a table of 6 to 8. Always a great experience. On one cruise we we pretty much closed the MDR most nights had such nice tablemates.
  16. On the Equinox September 26th so will post what's going on there
  17. Great aft views and you meet the same people every night. Since covid I haven't seen anyone there.
  18. I went up one evening during HH when on the Eclipse and the bar was not staffed.
  19. Thats too bad. Not all Elite members buy the AI as for many of us the HH drinks are sufficient. The Sky lounge on the S class ships was a great venue.
  20. I cruise solo a lot and always worked out great meet so many nice people done shore excursions with other couples gone to evening shows with dinner mates and been invited to guests suites for pre dinner cocktails. If you're friendly people are also friendly.
  21. I'd like to know also. This has been a highlight for many Elite guests don't know why they stopped it.
  22. @Mississippianof course it's worth a dime. The 2 times I've been in a CC it cost me zero $$$ extra. This upcoming cruise cost me $10 extra per night in a C1 sunset verandah. I make all the little extra amenities work for me the bottle of sparkly is used for breakfast mimosas canapés get switched for hummus and pita even pillow menu and better towels are an advantage.
  23. it's been awhile but I remember being on helipad sailing out of St. kitts and people were being turned away that were in sandals
  24. I'm Elite and also in a Concierge cabin so hope I get an invite. Closed toe shoes are a must for those who don't know.
  25. @PinkSandGirlyes I love the drinks there too and so artfully prepared. Don't have a drinks package for upcoming cruise but don't mind paying the prices at WCB I even prefer it to the crowded Martini bar.
