Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. No, the shoes must tie. They will even make you tie Hey Dudes.
  2. Most would consider and hourly wage as a rate that you are paid per hour vs a salary being rate you are paid to do a job. For example Ia person works full time at a business as an hourly employee, they are paid a set rate for each of the 40 hours worked (40 hours x$10/hour equals $400). Then any hours worked above the 40 they are paid an hourly overtime rate. A salaried employee makes X amount of dollars per year broken out into 26 or 52 pay periods and that employee works whatever number of hours is required to do the job. They may work less than 40 hours or more than 40 hours to get the job done, but they are not docked pay if they work 20 hours and will not earn overtime if they work more than 40.
  3. I was taught it is customary to tip at buffets in the US in addition to sit down venues. 10% for a buffet where they bring you drinks and pick up your dirty dishes for good service in US land based restaurants.
  4. We were a party of 11 on Oasis last year and they could not accommodate us at one large table, despite requesting in advance. Too many large parties. We were placed at two round six tops next to each other. We had two different serving teams so it wasn't optimal, but we went with it.
  5. We have had a child sleep on the pull out rather than share the cabin with the other two. We made sure to give the cabin steward an extra nice tip and left tips in place for the original cabin the child was registered in.
  6. Completely different, but not sure how my account is so badly messed up. My May cruise now shows as a linked cruise, rather than my cruise. It shows that I am linked to myself. All of my cruise planner purchases show as items someone else purchased for me and if I click on any of the items to modify or cancel it says only the person who purchased the items can modify them (this is on the website). On the app none of my cruise planner purchases show up at all. If I try to make a new reservation in the app it tells me to link a cruise to make a reservation. If I input my reservation number and last name it is just a loop that takes my back to the link a cruise to make a reservation screen. I am hesitant to try to fix it as I can just see some of my cruise planner items getting cancelled in the process or my boarding time disappearing. I emailed them yesterday with screen shots of everything. My hope is that once I get on the ship and connect to the Wifi everything will straighten itself out. It has been like this for a couple of months. I have deleted the app and downloaded again. I have removed my Crown and Anchor number and added it back in. Waiting for a response.
  7. They do on Oasis class ships. It is called Blaze or The Attic.
  8. Blaze is still there. When we sailed in May out of Bayonne the Comedy Club was available to book in advance, but literally booked up within a couple of hours of reservations opening. They may have released more on the first day, but I cannot confirm. They also have a standby line and let a lot of people in right before the show starts. Usually, a few seats in the back left and then they pack in the standing room around the bar.
  9. Interested to hear who will for taking over for Danny Turner on Liberty on 5/23. That is the day we board.
  10. Is a tablet of soap the same thing as a bar of soap or a different product that is carried on European cruises? I haven't heard it called a tablet before and always find the differences in the English language very interesting.
  11. Of all the shows I have seen Aqua 80 is my absolute favorite. Got me thinking about how many I have seen. I have liked them all and never walked out on a single one. Chicago Hairspray Grease Cats Ocean Aria Blue Planet Flight Hiro Frozen in Time ISkate Ice Games 1977 A few I can't remember the names. Always entertained.
  12. It never really works out to be free regardless. Usually rooms that sleep 2 are a lower category and cheaper per person than rooms that sleep 4. Move to the cabin that sleeps 4 and each of the adults usually pay more than if they sailed without kids in a room built for 2. You also have to pay the fees for the "free" kids.
  13. Thank-you for asking this and figuring it out. My app is the same after the last upgrade and I had given up on figuring it out.
  14. They don't even allow 18 year old high school students in the teen club. It is a liability issue.
