To the OP: How much did your cruise cost? How big a percentage of that is $50? How much emotional energy is worth $50? Just do as suggested and enjoy your life. Your$50 will be taken care of on board. Also, we ate in a specialty restaurant tonight and the servers outnumbered the customers. Just show up when you want or reserve that day. Do not make life hard.

We are on the Sapphire heading to Santiago. 1477 passengers (capacity about 2600). Very quiet, lots of staff with not much to do. The Antarctica part is full. 400 get off, 1500 get on.

On an Iceland cruise we got a full 18 day refund at $9.99 per day even though we had the drink package and were elite. Had to ask though.

Buffet has been great. Lots of choices, most very good. Eat at your own pace. Go back if you want more. Dining rooms take forever and have a limited choice.

I am puzzled by the comment about the buffet. We are on the Sapphire now and have had no issues with the buffet. The food is great and there is lots of choice.

Things have changed. You print out your tags and attach them to your luggage. The tag has more information on it that helps the delivery speed.

If you show up early, just get in line and board the ship. No one has asked about boarding times.

Sounds like a demand to me.

You should RESPECT those who choose to not dress up. If you do not like it, you can dine elsewhere.

We have done the online tests several times this year. It is easy and simple since they control the camera and direct you where to place the tests. They read the QR codes on the test at the beginning and end. We did our home tests before the online tests so we knew we would pass. People were telling us the tests at the doctor's office were $120. You never know what will happen with the test requirements.

Needs to be a long sleeve T shirt to be formal.

Boosters and proctored tests ARE required. You will be getting emails from Princess. Read them carefully.

We bought the tests from Optum. They were the Binax brand. We did the tests online using eMed which you get sent to from the Navica website. The test we bought included the test fees (about $20 I think). You went on line and they watched you open the test, do the swab and start the test strip. They set a 15 minute timer going on the phone and came back when the timer was up to read the results. Very easy. Chile seems to reevaluate the requirements regularly so they may change.

The quarantine cabins will have a table in front of the door for the deliveries. The dishes stacked are just the room service returns.

We are on the first stage of the Sapphire cruise and can say that a medically observed test was required. There were signs every few feet in the line at the terminal. Also Princess sent us 5 emails, called and sent a text as well as notified our TA. Yet there were some who acted surprised. The information in the cruise personalizer is contradictory. We did have to show our vaccination cards with a booster before boarding. This is a requirement of Chile and Princess has no options to ignore any of it.

Yesterday the was an elite line but I did not see any colored lines.

More app humor. We are on the way to San Pedro and according to the app, the ship has sailed and is on its way to Cabo. The bar code and boarding time has disappeared. The app does not understand that there are time zones other than GMT. It thinks we are right hours later than we are.

YOU said he was bored. That is his problem. There are plenty of things to do on the ship. If you or he choose to ignore them, that is not Princess's fault. If you just got off a 10 day cruise which you loved, why are you complaining?
