  1. Those on the Majestic will have to go to Alfredo's and pay for it. Not familiar with any other older ships that don't have Slice.
  2. If you had the plus on the front end you could have at least stocked up on soda, water and beer to enjoy on the back end. 63 days....my DH is jealous. But even he would miss our doggie for 2+ months.
  3. A slice or two can be obtained up on Lido at Slice. The "added benefit" would be the inclusion of the other casual venues such as Salty Dog or O'Malleys that were previously charged for and now would be included twice per sailing for package holders. The downfall of course is the twice is for 4 day or 24 day cruises.
  4. Don't know if the Regal has the updated menu at Alfredo's, but if they do, the calzone is substantially better than the pizza in my DH's opinion. He had about 10 of them over our 14 nights each on the Discovery and the Majestic.
  5. That's what I've been saying. Those that are threatening to leave to cruise X need to read their boards. There are complaints on most of the boards with many of the respective loyal cruisers.
  6. Currently have 7 future cruises booked on Princess and 2 on Celebrity. You need to make sure you're comparing an apple to an apple when it comes to cabin type and ship type. We only cruise on the newer ships in each fleet. We'll be on the Beyond in November and 7 times on Princess, on the Enchanted, Discovery and Sun between August of 2024 and August of 2025. When everything is equal, our Princess sailings are cheaper with the Plus package and the basic all included on X.
  7. Are you implying that you didn't care for the bathroom/shower set up? 🤔
  8. Went through the exact same scenario on our Majestic cruise from May with the Plus 40. It would only let us into the green lane if we paid $10.00 on a CC, even though it was supposed to ship for free. I went to guest services and took care of it and gave us the 10.00 credit on our bill. When I got home and opened up the final invoice email, the 10.00 credit had disappeared.
  9. No question, we're not their target audience of the 25-40 crowd.
  10. Great, have a fabulous cruise. It's just not our cup of tea from the few YouTube videos we've seen. Don't know what type of deals that Virgin would be offering a couple that book inside handicapped cabins.
  11. To you maybe, but to us it's the best value on the seas. We don't care about wifi. Take the 16 per day off of the 60 and you get 44 per day for the drinks package. Which is the cheapest compared to all other cruise lines. If you're going to make a statement about something not being a good value, at least add the phrase, for us, or add the phrase, we're teetotalers and don't drink so there is zero value in it. But even that second statement has been blasted by multiple posters who either drink no alcohol or a total of 3 a day between husband and wife. So the value is obviously there for many.
  12. You were going to be the first member of the "Ultra Premier" package. If you only upgrade another 20 pp to a cool 100 per day, you have the opportunity to act like Robin Hood and bestow a portion of your package to those that are less fortunate.
  13. And shorter lines at the bar for the non teetotalers.
  14. Under the "Come Feel the Love" message in fine print they mention that plus and premier package holders that bought in prior to 12/22 need to upgrade.
  15. Have a great cruise, but even with 30 drinks pp, I would do ok, but my DH's allotment would be gone by the morning of day 4. The best thing about Virgin is their no kid policy.
  16. Glad to hear it. Your in room experience will be that much better. Now, if you cruise a lot, you need to go out and buy yourself a scooter. It's how I get around everywhere on the cruise and I only use the walker in the cabin.
  17. We never got that far in the review process. Knew they had short itineraries and no drink packages, so that's two red flags for us. We normally cruise for 14 days unless it's drivable, then we'll do the 7-10 day option. If they expand and change down the road, we may consider, but I doubt it.
  18. And what type of cabin and how much was your cruise to get those perks?
  19. In general, they are either available fairly close to sailing or way ahead of time. We just booked a 9 day sailing for May of 2025. The price is the same either way for the base cruise. The tips on the drink package is 21.80 pppd and miniscule for the 1 specialty dinner.
  20. On a positive note, since you're in steerage you'll be cruising with Leonardo.
  21. You can get a fake tattoo of either a wine glass, beer mug or martini glass to make up for the fact that they don't have a drinks package.
