  1. If indeed they were the names of the ships to be, the quality of the pizza on board would increase.
  2. You said that many viewers did not tune in to see how bad it really is. Since both of us are located in the states, we don't know how good or bad the Aussie version is with Hannah. Of course we can assume that the format is exactly the same with just different participants.
  3. Have to disagree. Carnival still has traditional as well as any time dining on the Mardi Gras. And the Mardi Gras tops out at over 6000 people instead of only 4300 on the Sun Princess. Now, I will admit that Cucina del Capitano and Chibang are alternative included sit down dinner options, but then again the MG holds 1700 more cruisers. It can be done.
  4. Could you please provide a list of all of the various shows that need reservations. Donna Summer, Noise Boys and comedy are obvious. Can you make a reservation for Rumours at Syd's? Thanks. Will be on the 11 day out of Galveston and 14 days next year.
  5. Hudson's for sit down or Indulge Food Hall for grab n go.
  6. Brooklyn. We have a reservation next July on the Meraviglia.
  7. But with RCI once you reach Diamond, you start getting free drinks with an extra per day at Diamond Plus and two extra at Pinnacle. That's the best perk on any of the cruise lines and a major reason that the frequent RCI cruiser doesn't care about their Dynamic Pricing policy regarding buying a drink package.
  8. According to your cruise history, you've never sailed on NCL, RCI or MSC, the other three entry level cruise lines. Princess, Celebrity, and Holland would be the next level up. Do a YouTube search and you'll find videos.
  9. Did you not read the previous posts that there are two different shows, one for the US market with Matt Mitchum and one for the Aussie market with Hannah Ferrier? Supposedly the Captain is the same on both shows.
  10. I believe that the show you're referring to is a totally different show than the one on CBS. The cruise director on the CBS show is Matt Mitchum, who used to be with Carnival. The cruise director on the Aussie version is Hannah Ferrier, who was the chief stew on below Deck for multiple seasons.
  11. The only way to truly express your disappointment with Princess is to sail on other lines. As time goes on, people mature and their tastes evolve and possibly change. The same is true with cruise lines. Because of the pandemic and the billions lost, they need to slightly pivot in order to generate dollars. There are bean counters at all of the cruise lines that make these decisions on a daily basis. I will infer that you had many enjoyable trips on Princess in the past and you're lamenting the fact that Princess is adapting.
  12. Easy. Take a clothes pin and attach some playing cards to the spokes of your wheels.
  13. But not nearly as many 3/4 day booze cruises that Carnival offers that usually tend to lead to the fights that ensue. It happens on most lines, but Carnival is at the top of the list.
  14. You do realize that you're not the target audience of the show. 95+% of the people on this thread did not like anything about the show for various reasons. Don't really think that the bean counters care. Personally we tend to spread our cruise choices over various lines. We spent our first time on Princess on the Discovery for 14 days in April and will be on the Majestic for 14 days next year visiting Alaska for the first time. Had a great time and looking forward to many more cruises on Princess on their newer builds since that is what we prefer. So, since somebody doesn't like where Princess is going, it's counter balanced by my DH and myself, since we are looking forward to many future Princess cruises.
  15. They need to think out of the box in order to fill the Sun Class ships because of the increased cruiser capacity. Once again, if you no longer feel that Princess fits your idea of a good vacation, vote with your wallet.
  16. Big Brother has been around for 24 years, this show is probably one and done.
  17. It all comes down to you get what you pay for. That's why many will shell out more money to sail on Oceania, Viking, Seaborne, Azamara etc.
  18. A few years back, regular Goose was included, while the flavored variations were not. Yet all of them were the same price in the gift shop. It's still NCL bulk purchasing, whether the bottle is sold whole in the gift shop or per drink in the bars.
  19. If you prefer the older, smaller ships in the fleet instead of the newer larger ships of the Royal and Sun Classes, you still have choices and there is no reason for you to move on. Now of course if there are other reasons, Celebrity or Holland are calling.
  20. With the Sun Princess and her sisters being built with larger capacity different marketing strategies need to be implemented in order to spur additional cruisers to try Princess. I will infer that you don't like the fact that possibly some younger cruisers would try out Princess and this rubs you the wrong way. Learned a long time ago that we don't make the rules we just play the game. If you don't like the game that the bean counters are playing at Princess, you do have other lines you can sail with.
  21. But Belvedere vodka is included and is more expensive to purchase than Bailey's. No rhyme or reason. Saw the same thing on NCL a few years ago when Goose was covered but the flavored varieties of Goose wasn't. Even though all of the Goose varieties were the same price in the gift shop.
  22. Easy. 9/8/23. Magic 8 day out of NYC. Self assist, get in car drive to Baltimore. Stop in Philly for real cheese steak. Take 9/16/23 Legend 8 day out of Balt.
