Cabins directly next to elevators and stairs

I also think that being on a smaller ship, fewer passengers, and not a "spring break" atmosphere, you won't really hear much at all. -
I dress in black tie every night.

Here's how I'm envisioning the drone:
-
You could upgrade the camera system on deck to include an AI program that automatically notes when an item is placed upon a deck chair, and starts a 30 minute countdown to track whether the item moves or any other additional items are placed on the chair within 30 minutes. It could also track and monitor body heat to identify whether a person is actually using the chair. When the 30 minutes are up, the AI system activates an onboard drone which swoops down, lifts the item(s) from the deck chair, and then deposits the items (1) in a collection bin; or (2) in the sea [Programmer's choice]. The deck chair is now ready for a new person. I can envision this system simultaneously tracking all deck chairs.

Well, that Montezuma was a crafty fellow. Scares the crap out of me.

Wow! Love the photos! Brought back memories of our trip last year. Thanks!

Same thing with a tuxedo.
-
But usually the first night and last night are the most casual nights onboard.
-
I've seen some passengers that look like they are almost that old. LOL

I love how you guys keep changing the circumstances. Now it's: G&G are going to help with the care of the grandkids. Maybe even babysit them some nights... And the children are so very happy to be so accommodated. You forgot to add: And Grandma and Grandpa will hire nannies and staff to accompany the family. And fly in the finest tutors and instructors to enrich the grandchildren. LOL Oh yes. I completely retract my affront against good old Grandma and Grandpa. What was I thinking? They are the most unselfish people I've ever heard of.
-
Ah, but you are changing the scenario. The scenario you offered me was Grandma and Grandpa won't set foot on a big ship. So they offer to pay everyone to go on Regent, and the family goes. Not because the family thought it was the best thing for them all. Because Grandma and Grandpa refused to go on a bigger ship.
-
The scenario in which I am calling grandma and grandpa "selfish" is the scenario that was presented to me: "but when grandma and grandpa won't set foot on a big ship and offer to pay for all - all go." This wasn't a case of: Regent works best for the family because our grandchildren are all well-behaved and will enjoy the luxury ship experience. It was a case of grandma and grandpa refusing to set foot on a mega liner ship and instead essentially offering a "take it or leave it" bribe to the parents and grandparents. And I call that selfish...

Actually it's "larboard" vs. "starboard" 😀

Definitely your best bet.

I completely hear you. I was just noting that a white dinner jacket is perfect for a Caribbean cruise. What's nice is that if you have the full tuxedo kit, all you would need to do is pick up a white dinner jacket only (you can sometimes get great prices for them online), and you already have everything else you need. But I understand that having it might seem superfluous.
-
That's when a white dinner jacket should look fantastic.

But they can be together on the larger, family-style cruise ships as well. I do understand your point: If Regent advertises for children, then you should expect that some people will bring their children, and they will be welcome onboard. But they will also be expected to adhere to those rules. But the larger ships just have more resources and facilities dedicated to the needs of families with small children. Unlike Regent.
