  1. Yep and I do - if you could only hear the questions I say as I read some of those threads! And they always end w/"if you don't intend to abide by the T&C, don't give them your $$." There's waaaay too many....
  2. Yes but you can't use it for onboard functions.
  3. A lot of people (myself included) just close an app rather than logging out then closing. We really need to (occasionally) log out then back in for apps to work properly.
  4. Respectfully, why discuss something that violates the published rules as noted by @ObstructedView2 post #3?
  5. Not on Carnival - just be sure each person gets their card scanned at the presentation.
  6. Last month on NS cards came pre punched as in @rafinmdpicture post #6 - the cabin door locks are the magnetic tap kind. Earlier in the year on either K'dam or NA (I'd have to look it up) the cards did not have a hole & they wouldn't punch one saying it would interfere w/the mag strip. Then in Sept on a Carnival ship that also had the magnetic tap locks, the cards came pre punched in the corner as @Heartgrove pic post #12. So it seems the corner would be safest, but they may also have changed vendors that use a different "pattern" which allows a narrow punch on one end w/o interfering.
  7. @Cmildenb Is this your cruise? ... New information since last update is shown in RED...
  8. It could be one of several reasons. We've had that happen to us twice because they had been sold as full charters. We called in and were told to select an alternate date and the full deposit would move over with everything in tact (same OBC, price, cabin type, etc) so long as we selected the same cruise just a new date. In one instance the same cabin was available so all good; the other one we had to select a different cabin in the same category. On the phone we were given a deadline to transfer the deposit w/same "perks" after which time we would still be able to transfer the deposit but the new booking would be based on current promo pricing. You can check the charter and dry dock thread to see if your (former) sailing is on it; they will also tell you why it was cancelled if you call. My most recent cruise was cancelled because ship was going into drydock and the final cruise was extended by 4 days, going from a 7-day to an 11-day. For that one, we had to pay the new pricing and they transferred our deposit. Our cabin was still available so that part was easy.
  9. Don't drink apple cider, but plenty do and I'll celebrate their day; Mickey Mouse and princesses are worthy of a day. I think the quote is beyond me; pass on the drink; would try the meal & the wine; not been to the port. The days in history certainly each made significant contributions in their own ways. Picked up new glasses yesterday; they feel good - driving will be the test. Also yesterday was a trip to Dr for DH and I - he has bronchitis, I have a viral gastro thing. That took half the day, so I have some work to finish today as well as starting to pack for the cruise. Gut needs to cooperate - I leave Tuesday. Craving CFA, but not allowed for a few days til I can return to normal diet. Currently 59° and sunny headed to 68°; still no rain on flight day. Prayers and positive thoughts for all!
  10. DH had it last week on NS - no marshmallow, yes stroop (wafer) enjoyed it.
  11. I asked someone who had submitted & rec'd the OBC using this new process about redacting & they said they did still redact all the usual personal info.
  12. A cruise ship holiday vacay is only made better by an earlier check-in time. Even Princess wants you to get this started!! You're going to have a blast! Safe travels.🇨🇱 I will be here for it all, just maybe a but behind as I jump on a ship myself next week. YAY holidays! YAY cruising!
  13. YES on the creme brulee cake!! As if I needed another reason to look forward to this cruise!

  15. Surely for both your physical relief and sanity, I hope you mean 2024... I do hope you can get results at least w/in their estimated timeframe.
  16. Hey, now that you mention it, you are all "dotted up" today...Maybe it knows you're special!!🤔
  17. While safety should always be #1, it is disappointing to mix ports and planned excursions. I was fortunate to do the Gatun Lake small boat excursion just at the restart and it was quite memorable. Continued safe travels.
  18. In fairness, people not part of ship excursions kept arriving on the tenders and they wanted to be sure the 2 people weren't among them. But at some point (sooner than we experienced), it's time to move on. Especially given their T&C clearly state they will not keep a group waiting for a few and that the 2 people didn't respond to calls, texts or emails. We did enjoy the tour and are glad we did it and would use them again.
  19. I won't be taking a hike today, but know some people I would like to invite to take one; students deserve to be celebrated every day; I love good, fresh baklava. No disrespect Mr Hemingway, but not aligned w/the quote; pass on the meal & drink; maybe on the wine; not been to the port. All great, impactful days in history. Currently 57° headed to 64°; rain has been removed from the forecast for my flight next week. In addition to PT and work, I need to pick up my new glasses today - hope they're correct as there's not enough time to get them remade before I leave. @seagarsmoker the picture is beautiful, sorry to hear about your job. Prayers and positive thoughts for all.
