  1. I was on Spirit a year ago. They had more than one table. Two? I prebooked through the app, but don't remember how far ahead.
  2. They don't want to leave passengers behind and TRY to get everyone aboard. Waiting for as long as humanly possible to pull the gangway. It bugs me to no end when I see people leisurely stroll towards the ship after all aboard time and not even have the decency to at least walk fast! Like many others I would not make plans that means a small mishap will risk being late. Yes, things can happen and no matter how careful you are and how much margin you have it can turn out bad. But if you're looking at your plans and think "hmmm... looks tight..." from the start, DON'T DO IT!
  3. It's all on Jet Blue. And the passenger should get information (from Jet Blue) that "necessary purchases" can be done and reimbursed later. Hygien articles, underwear, basic clothing.
  4. Ok. I guess that's why they fly out so early. Still it should be all right, even though it sounds really tight.
  5. Tromsö is a very small airport and I'm guessing it's not an international flight (Oslo?) so airport timing isn't as crucial as on a big airport and/or international flight.
  6. Please update here when you find out what's going on! It could be that they have pulled it temporarily from the site for some reason or other connected to the drydock preceding it..
  7. @RWK1952 is this cruise still on? I had my eye on it but it disappeared from NCL site a few days ago. Maybe it¨s completely sold out, but somehow that doesn't make sense to me since there were lots of rooms available the day before it disappeared. Tried to find a roll call for it but no luck.
  8. I can see that too now that you point it out. I did a tough hike that involved some muddy bits. Had to rinse of most of my stuff in the shower. Not sure how much laundry would have helped that particular time, but yes, you are right!
  9. If you're continuing your travels after the cruise it's extremely helpful! In my opinion I can't see much need for laundry if all you're doing is a 7 day cruise. But that's of course just my view.
  10. But they do it for our convenience and to enhance our experience! 😄
  11. Well, by now I guess you realise that yes, they can do this. And it¨s not uncoomon. And be very happy about the $100! Most of us that have had stops dropped has gotten less or nothing at all!
  12. I THINK it is tied to person. The only time I have used my status for priority tendering they looked at my key card. I do however suspect it varies how things are done and how strictly rules are enforced. Only way to know is to ask once onboard.
  13. If you are planning to book MORE than your 2 included speciality restaurants, make sure to book those with fixed pricies first (Teppanyaki, Moderno, Food Republic are those that I come to think of). Booking a la carte restaurants do not incur any cost. Dress code = casual or dress up. Up to you! I think Le Bistro is the one with the strictest dress code, but still not really "dressy". (To ask men to wear pants/jeans really isn't unreasonable in my opinion, but I know some men don't go there because of that. To each their own!) Edit: I forgot! You tell them when arriving at the resatuarant that you want to use your free speciality perk. As for the free venues there usually isn't too bad wait time if you just show up when you feel like it.
  14. I doubt that very much. That would not be fair to other passengers if there is a non-advertised way around the regular tender ticket deliverance. Most of the people standing in line do so because they have independent excursions booked. Just get up and stand in line! Only one or two from the group need to be there to pick up the tickets.
  15. 1. I'm guessing Pier 66 2. Clothes suitable for layering. It's not any extreme cold during cruise season (disclaimer: I'm Swedish so my view on cold may be different from people living in warmer places. But if you're in Ohio I suspect cold weather is nothing new to you.). Water proof/resistance shoes/boots 3. No idea 4. No idea 5. Check out the observation lounge. It is so nice! Early bird breakfast and some really nice lunch snacks when I was on Bliss April 13-20 this year. Elevators were a PIA, but with 4000 people on a ship maybe that's to be expected. 6. I loved Sitka, which was a nre place for me.! There were overall few excursions avilable for our cruise, but the Historic park was really nice. If you're doing the walk in Victoria, be warned that it is really long. Nice, but long! You could just get off the ship and stroll around on your own if you want to. It's really nice there when the houses are lit up in the dark.
  16. On the two Star cruises I have done tender tickets have been given out around 6 am the morning of the stop.
  17. I have been in three connecting cabins if memory serves me right. No noise issues whatsoever! Maybe I've been lucky with my neighbours, but I really haven't heard anything through the doors. I've had far more issues with neighbours in non-connected rooms.
  18. I have no idea, but if you got anything back it sure would be very generous of NCL. Not making payment surley must be considered a cancellation? And after final pay you'd lose your deposition. But who knows?
  19. Breakawya has a plannes drydock of some sort in6 february 2025. Apparently the port changed from Barcelona to Southampton. Last week the non-sail time was between Feb 19 to March 28 or something like that. As of the day before yesterday the March cruise (Southampton to Barcelona) disappeared from NCL site (I was thinking of booking it and couldn't find it). Today April is empty as well. Still a long time away but kind of interesting. It could of course be one of NCL's web site glitches. It is after all almost weekend...
  20. According to the term the two coupons cannot be used at the same restaurant. As mentioned by others. Screenshot from FAQ included
  21. Yeah, definitely sounds like vacationing with other people is not for you. And I would prefer to not have judgemnetal people like you around me. Part of what I like about cruising the diversity of people and the acceptance of differencies. But hey, it's obviously not for everyone. Bye bye!
  22. It will be refunded as a CruiseNext. They no longer expire.
  23. I've had good experiences using online chat. There is, as far as I know, no way for you to do it on your own online.
  24. Good advice! But just as information: CruiseNext don't expire at all any more. And should you have future cruise credits it's clearly written both "use before" and "sail before" if you go into your account on a web site (not the app). So good advice to go check those dates if you're unsure.
