  1. Well, I am thrilled to get a full day and a little more in NY, on a relatively centrally located "hotel" without paying "centrally located hotel-price"!
  2. I have seen several reports her on CC from people saying that as long as your B2B is two reservations the CruiseNext staff might very well get you to the next level between cruises. That is OF COURSE in case the first leg (or for the OP, second leg) takes you over the required points. They don't HAVE TO, but it seems like they MIGHT anyway.
  3. Double up CruiseNext for inside/OV isn't always available. On the other hand, CruiseFirst isn't available to us in the EU. So lucklity doublr up CN for all rooms comes around aften enough! 😄
  4. All I can say is that I'm currently in a deck 9 starboard balcony room very near the aft elevators. I am very sound sensitive , but all I hear is the sounds of the ventialtion and creaking of the ship. Nothing from the corridor. Nothing from above or below.
  5. Although I do feel bad for them, I have to say it's at very least "optimistic" to plan for a Bernuda cruise stop this time of year! I do hope they have a good plan B!
  6. I totally get that! I'm in Europe and we buy the FAS. All or nothing. It's around $20-25 per day unless it's a half price promo. I probably wouldn't pay that much just for drinks package.
  7. WHAT?? MY attitude? REALLY? When I try to say that although you may ask you must realize that you're not the only person on the ship that may be asking things. Honestly can't see what's wrong with that attitude. You must be reading something in my post that is not there. Maybe your attitude is the problem...
  8. Please don't pick out a small part of my post to highlight and disregard the rest! I'd say I make a pretty clear distinction between asking and telling! And FWIW, I would not do that myself. I'd be perfectly fine if my room wasn't cleaned at all! Jump on the ones that DO request it and say so in this thread instead!
  9. I drink very little alcohol but I like having the drink package anyway. A coke is around $4 or something like that and I probably wouldn't buy many at that price. Even though I'd like some. Since I do get the drinks package I get them when I want them and it kind of feels like a cheap luxury. 😁 And I do add a beer, a frozen cocktail or a Kahlua for my coffee once or twice a day. Just because I can. 😁 So yes, I drink more than at home, but not enough to be worried. 😮
  10. I haven't heard them saying it when buying the certificates. On every Cruise next presentation I've seen they've said it though. Very clearly.
  11. I would have been way more surprised if you'd said that they didn't get commission. It's not something I've thought about, but I kind of took it for granted. Why else would they push so hard to sell?
  12. Even though there is nothing unreasonable about asking the Stewart to clean my room next,, or at least soon, I have to understand that maybe several other guests have asked the same thing. Which could be the reason for a "no, unfortunately I can't do that". I use the red/green "signals" a lot and most of the time my room is done at a good time for me. Not that there is much to do there so it's no big deal if I come back to it and it's not done yet.
  13. I usually get great service. Not sure why. But it could be that I never take it for granted. I treat staff well. Sometimes ask for things/service but never "demand". Show gratitude for services done. I do my tipping after receiving good service. I don't use tips to "buy" it.
  14. Latitude discount automatically applied for excursions booked through app on Star, Gem and Bliss for me. Isn't this normal?
  15. No, not by default. But you can ask for one.
  16. Yes. I know. I misread what the 50% was referring to since we happen to have FAS half price promo in Europe right now. My mistake
  17. 😁 I was wondering how come this seemingly hot topic had passed me by. That's probably why...
  18. No. Drinks package 50% is not constant! But also not unique. A few days about every other month or so. The rest is pretty much the same always. By the way, my PCC told me FreeAtSea will go up by €50 in January. Edit: I'm talking Europe. I think OP is in USA so irrelevant to them
  19. Only for balcony and above. For inside/ov 2 dinners start at 12 days. And price of the package goes up by 50 (or 25 if half price).
  20. My pleasure! Have a nice cruise, whenever it is! And enjoy your bargain FAS! I drink very little alcohol, but with the half price it's super even for a soda now and then!
  21. Yes, I like that too! I'm a little confused by your mandatory service charge though. Unless you're in Haven it should be 185 pp and in Haven more than the 203 you mentioned. But I really don't know Haven fees, so I could be totally wrong there!
  22. The only gratuity you pay is the mandatory service charge that you mentioned. The drinks and dinner gratuities are for US guests that don't pay for FAS. If you're in Europe and pay for it, there will be no more charges. Do note that it's "from" 49.50 for FAS. So, like I said before, around €100 per person for a 10 day cruise.
