  1. I hope MSC also is listening. Their Caribbean intinaries aren't any better. That's why we haven't booked with MSC.
  2. We looked at VV last year for our March 2024 Caribbean cruise. To bad their Caribbean intinaries are so limited. Booked with Princess instead.
  3. I'm sure the bar tender cold help you with that drink. I use to drink vodka and lemonade in the 60's. Try vodka and cranberry juice (Cape Cod).
  4. We looked at them last year for a March 2024 Caribbean cruise. To bad their Caribbean intinaries are so limited. Booked with Princess instead.
  5. And by the time you are on your February cruise the meus offered could be totally different.
  6. I always do the check in for both legs. I always pick the last time slot for the second leg. You will receive a TAD letter in your stateroom a day or two prior to your TAD detailing everything you need to know for your specific cruise. Not all B2B cruises are handled the same on TAD. Including your in transit pass for leaving the ship on TAD for your excursion. If you don't see the passes go to GS and request them.
  7. We were on the Apex in March 2023. Reserved Select Dining for 6:00 PM each evening prior to the cruise. Once onboard we were advised no TD and no reservations for SD. But the Maitre D put us in the system for 6:PM as we also requested the same (location) two top each evening in the same MDR. We weren't interested in switching MDRs as all menus are available at all four MDRs. Personal preference.
  8. Sounds like you've got it already figured out by have them order their own drinks or ask the sever to scan each card for the drink order. Doesn't seem overkill to me if you want accuracy.
  9. I only wear shorts the first evening. I'm not concerned whether the staff will allow me in the MDR in the evening after the first night, it's my wife I have to get by and I'd never make it out of stateroom wearing shorts. 🤣 Breakfast and lunch, always shorts.
  10. I said the first evening. A lot in shorts that evening, no matter the dining venue and especially on Caribbean cruises.

    Muster

I just may have to challenge that on our next cruise. 😇
  12. I don't pay attention to others. We always eat in the MDR.
  13. I do and have years worn shorts the first evening in the MDR on our Celebrity cruises.
  14. Glad our price increases aren't that exaggerated. And if they were we'd move on. Was your last Celebrity cruise your last based on the current changes?
  15. Exactly why we never hung the DND door hanger out when we returned to our cabin in the evening. Sounds like the new and improved isn't.
  16. When we go on our next cruise and see for ourselves we'll make that decision based only on our experiences. That's a fact. Possibly the changes won't be that big of a deal to us. We refuse to compare our MDR experiences on our first cruise with Celebrity in 1994 on the Zenith. Or any other past cruises. That's a fact. We still enjoy the 'burger from the mast/pool grill. That's a fact.
  17. Agee. But we will still eat there if we like the food.

    Muster

Like with Celebrity, the crew doesn't actually know if you watched the muster drill video or not when checking in with them(?) .
  19. Thanks. The menus @Stockjock posted from their cruise also didn't have mashed potatoes with every entree either. I'm not a potatoes fan anyway. Like in the past I won't eat them. I'll order something else if I feel I need something to replace them. Not always. Could be worse, all entrees could be served with mushy peas. 🤢
  20. With Princess, did you have to wait until you were onboard the ship to watch the muster drill on the app or was it like Celebrity where it can be viewed prior to boarding the ship?
  21. The OP thank me. Examples of how there is no longer a formal evening.
  22. We've sat in the DL before supper having a drink with a couple who was on the same shore excursion we were on. We all took the same elevator down to the MDR. They walked into the MDR ahead of us. They were wearing the same clothes (long pants and short sleeved shirts) on the shore excursion. Very nice couple. He was a retired postal worker (walking route). Lots of funny stories.
  23. The iced cloth face towels, cold flavored water and a covered area to sit before boarding the ship when cruising in the Caribbean or other warm/hot intinaries.
