  1. Here on the Left Coast we try not to waste paper.
  2. Definitely a "sheltered life." This is from a small, local chain in Seattle. https://www.pagliacci.com/blog/posts/wild-mushroom-tuscan-kale-and-pumpkin-gelato Lunch? Hmm, I had lunch recently in Paris. Seared foie gras, white asparagus with bechamel sauce and escargots. A pizza would be too rich. Maybe just some charcuterie and a small salad.
  3. We're doing that because the cabin we'll be in is already booked for the second one. I have no concern.
  4. I'd been meaning to ask this. Living on the Left Coast has loads of positives 🙂 A few years ago we wanted a second dinner on Jacques and it wasn't available. We asked if we could join another couple and it worked just fine.
  5. This^ Also does "not good" just mean that you don't like it? Not a good reason to not eat it. Cooked incorrecty, then yes. And how it's done? You bet.
  6. Imagine if they said: Hi, beloved passengers. If you're on cruise XYZ and don't want to be, just let us know and we'll either give you a full refund or 150% FCC. BTW I'm guessing they could write off that loss?
  7. Oh, and steak houses are always in search of non-meat dishes that cost a lot! and taste good. I had it on Marina and it was lovely. Rich but lovely.
  8. It actually became popular about 25 years ago. But if the spirit ever moves you maybe this BBC link will help you out 🙂 I think you've led a sheltered life. LOL. Pizza has become truly high end (and not thankfully). Certainly not on a cruise ship where I'm guessing they can't get the oven up to 1000F. What are the pizza flavor trends for 2023? In the fastest-growing pizza flavors, we find cilantro at 13.1% and Indian flavors at 9.5%. Interestingly, sharp flavors — think aged asiago, goat cheese, arugula, or pickled red onions — are inching their way up, as are garden vegetables, truffles, and buttery flavors.Sep 7, 2023
  9. That's saying it as straightforward as I believe it can be said. When someone is selling a product, one bad review far, far outweighs a whole lot of good ones. And that's where social media comes in the the picture. I don't buy anything from an unknown vendor without checking them out.
  10. Why not go ahead and try? What do you have to lose? And I find "going to the top" to be quite effective.
  11. Totally correct and I accept it but it still makes me crazy(er). I guess we're just kinda back alley people 🙂
  12. It would sure be a nightmare for us. And I would raise holy hell!
  13. Is this the trip? If so, it hasn't even been changed?
  14. That's one that makes me wild!!! Sure, you paid for it. But if you like food - and local people - why not find a fun, off the beaten path place for lunch???
  15. I have the feeling that you're a ship not a port kinda person 🙂 Arts and crafts, books, movies?
  16. Here's an article that's been posted before that gives more detail. https://www.independent.co.uk/travel/news-and-advice/cruise-israel-egypt-jordan-oman-b2438446.html
