  1. As stated previously, sort of, if you are in bed with no view of the outside, you will have no idea which direction is forward or aft. You will feel left to right (the roll) sometimes more intense, sometimes none at all. This is soothing to most on a cruise. For us, the wristbands are awesome and work just fine if we are in "rough" seas as high as 20+ foot waves.
  2. You can google the definition yourself.
  3. Not in the specialty restaurants. This is the first significant change since the restart in 2021. In case you're counting, that's over 3-years.
  4. I don't know. It's a phenomenal show. But, when you've seen it 137 times, it's time for something new.
  5. They work, but yes, if you are 6' tall you will need to pull and hold the curly-cord as tight as possible, and still bend over slightly.
  6. I know it's hard, but try to follow along. We're talking about stale smoke smell in furniture, walls, carpets, etc. It's not 2nd hand smoke. That's long gone. Now we're talking about the chemicals in the deodorizers. But thanks for playing.
  7. It is what it is. Last August, we didn't pay an extra dime the moment we left Seattle. That included Juneau, Skagway, Sitka, Victoria. Today may be completely different.
  8. That is annoying. But seriously, you can do better.
  9. I am a smoker, and I can assure you that if there was no place for the 10% of us, there would be a problem. If a ship can have a designated smoking area, it can have a priest. Just sayin', it's a stretch, but I'm sticking with it.
  10. Again, you confuse words. Judgmental? That's laughable on its face. Interested? Absolutely. You make it easy by simply saying that trying anything is too hard.
  11. I think you should get details from her. She would know why her clients were rejected. Right? I've cruised Carnival, Royal, NCL, and Holland. No issues. If you have a US passport, you're good to go.
  12. I would take that. But, I'll never make Ambassador. I was impressed with the near perfect toenail polish match! 🤣
  13. We aren't on the same page, or even speaking the same language here. Street stands, absolutely, in any country! Ever been to a Christmas market in Europe? Walked the streets of Amsterdam and sat for some quick pannekoeken or poffertjes? A two-hour meal in France, or a "proper" Italian dinner? No need for that. How about coffee and croissants or a quick dish of cacio e pepe? You are making eating in port way too difficult.
  14. My post was a bit of joke, obviously. But seriously, if my daughter gets physically sick from the smell of lavender deodorizer, used to eliminate the stale smell of smoke, why are you more important than her?
  15. That TA was a moran. I've been a felon for 25-years and have never been called, or denied boarding, by any cruise line.
  16. I think you are confusing concern, with simple interest. I'm not concerned in the least what others do. But, I am interested in their thought process. As someone else pointed out, if you miss the food, you miss the culture. I just can't wrap my head around that way of thinking. Is your time so precious that you can't take a few minutes to hit up a street stand? Really?
  17. Not for me. The only time I'm away from CC (and all the personalities here) is when I'm on a cruise. I cruise to: -Stop talking about cruising -Stop researching cruising -Stop arguing about cruising
  18. Proud of you. I'm 60, and last August I hiked down from the tram in Juneau. I will never walk down anything, ever again. Or up, to be honest.
  19. Good for you. Unlikely for nearly anyone over the age of 50. Have you ever hiked down from the Gold Belt Tram back to Juneau? I have. Try it. I'm sure it's just right for you.
  20. Well that came out of nowhere. How many NCL cruisers have insurance for missed ports? 10 out of 4000? C'mon man, I've seen you do way better than that.
  21. The thread is hard to follow, but my only question is, "Why would someone take NCL buffet food into a port"? Are you really that desperate for time and money that you can't enjoy some actual, authentic, delicious local food? I think I missed something here.
  22. There are a lot of 🐀's in this thread that haven't found the pack. The thing is, you need to see the whole picture, not just the body. By the way, where did Chief scatter off to?
  23. Well, yes, sort of. I'm not sure that comparing something that attracts anyone to something that attracts someone is equal. But, yes, if I was Catholic, and ranked cruise lines on my religion, having a priest on board would matter.
