  1. Possibly but know one knows for sure. I guess the guests who drop their tips should not be worried, but one might muse that this could be used against the crew. I just noted what some have said for their reasoning above remove tips on the last night. Some even state that you can even do it over the phone if the line is long at GS. Just another reason to why I think it should just be rolled into the cruise cost.
  2. I’d like that those who remove auto tips to do it on embarkation day VS the last night. I’ve seen it noted here on CC that they are concerned because they are concerned that they will get lesser quality service. If one is removing it preemptively in their minds before boarding the ship, then do it on boarding day. Go right to GS before the line is long. Instead of waiting to the last day. Do it on day one, and own it. Maybe RC will learn something from this action as well.
  3. Pebble is for golfers and car lovers. As a semi golfer I will admit it looks better with cars all over the place. It doesn’t look as good as your food porn though. All of those dishes. 😋
  4. We have been watching the YouTube web camera from Big Bear Lake with the nesting eagles. Their nest is towards the end of the lake where the damn is. I've been looking at this area on Google Earth. It looks beautiful there. Love your cabin too.
  5. Half the members would never sign on again, as they’d miss the banter. LOL
  6. To be honest you would more likely find these posters somewhere other than CC. Crew Centre is an example where I see crew post items of concern.
  7. I guess this solidifies that RC should just roll tips into the cruise cost. I’m sure they will still take a small % for a handling fee. Those that want to tip more can do so at their own discretion.
  8. They will get there faster, get a better beach chair, and I’m sure it will be cheaper.
  9. More like they aren’t following through on bringing three people. RC still keeps their $50.
  10. And now the wrap up for dinner. After 15 minutes we were again allowed back into the building. We got settled at our table and Owen, our waiter checked in with us. He asked if we wanted a new meal cooked to replace our cold one, and we said that we were OK. We had half eaten our meal and requested some to go boxes. We chuckled what are the chances of two alarms in just over an hour. He went in search of some boxes and a few minutes later the manager came to see us. He too apologized for the situation, to which we said was well beyond their/his actions. He then said that they were going to comp our meal, since they didn’t have to make another for us. We said that wasn’t needed, but he insisted. I guess who are we to argue. Thankfully we were leaving just before 5, but I could only imagine what it would have been like during the main dinner rush. That said it is one of our favourite restaurants that we go to a couple times a year. We will be back. We were only charged for our beverages and appetizers. We thanked the manager as we left and left an appropriate “thank-you”😉 for our waiter.
  11. We were halfway though our dinner and guess what. RING, RING, RING. IMG_2190.MOV Round 2. FullSizeRender.MOV One truck came to each main mall entrance. Must have been 5 or 6 there. I will say Owen took notice of how the university aged waitresses fawned over the firefighters as they drove up. He posed out loud, that he might like that as a profession over police officer or sports broadcaster/cameraman. Sorry @Sea Dog He’s still not buying airline pilot or cruise ship captain. Never knew fire trucks could say what one might think.
  12. We went out to our local steak house for dinner late this afternoon, which is attached to a large mall. When we were at the sports store first, getting his states sharpened and a new mouth guard and case for Owen. That’s for rugby tryouts which are starting next week. When we were there out of the blue the fire alarm went off. Never experienced it before, and the mall has existed for 30 years. After about 20 minutes out in the sunny and cold weather we got back in, once the fire department cleared the mall. IMG_2189.MOV We then headed to the Keg. We joked with them that the excitement was now over and they said it happens around 5 times a year on average. Dinner was as follows. Caesar Salads for Lisa and Owen. Crab cake for me. Strip loin for Owen. Lisa and I each had the 20oz rib steak. I had mashed and Lisa had twice baked potatoes. Never mind the seasonal beets that I was sliding to the side. There was also an order of battered cauliflower.
  13. That’s OK. We got that much snow just morning. I chuckled as there was snow on the cars, none in the ground. That’s a dream for me. 4/8 weeks ago? That will be April for us.
  14. Even if they tied in their last winter season game they would have been ranked in the lower split of playoffs. The win tied them in points with two other teams with 7 each. The catch is they beat the two other teams in head to head. Had they not scored the go ahead goal with 28 seconds left in the game they would be playing in the bottom pool right now. Tonight we play the team we beat to put us into the upper bracket. It’s a grudge match, and of of their players is still suspended from their actions against us. We play the Belmont team. These were the rankings prior to the head to head wins factored in. We went from 7th to 5th place. Edit to add to of these teams in the top rankings have no Rep team which makes it an even bigger challenge.
  15. If you do Instagram check out this account. They used to compete, their daily skating posts are fascinating. They make it look so easy.
  16. To be honest it’s doubtful, and Owen says it too. Had they not won their second to last game they would have been ranked lower and playing teams more comparable in playoffs. Instead with that win they are now the lowest ranked team playing the top 4 teams out of 20. being 5th at the end of the season out of 21 teams isn’t a bad thing but it’s going to be rough. I can share the finer details over a beer on the ship. I might need it to unwind. 🤯🫣
